Nowhere land..
Well, we'll see it how it goes! I'm nervous because I heard so many negative reports about the bionic... Knock on wood, so far so good. It appears to be snappier than the rezound and the web browsers all work great. Plus the webtop feature is what I like.

The trouble I was having with the rezound was the web pages didn't load right with the dolphin or the stock browser. But get this, the browsers only acted up on the 4g network and not the wifi! Other than that, the rezound was solid. I went into a corporate store and even the display Rezound did the same thing.

Tech support did some digging and guess whos thread they found? Mine! It might be a network thing in my area (My opinion).

So I'll order a replacement, if it does the same thing I will send the replacement back, keep the original and possibly sell it. I got two weeks to run this bionic into the ground to see if it holds up. If it does, I'm selling my Rezound.

Not sure what I'll get for it, got two extended batteries/backs, stand alone charger and all the boxes and receipts for everything, and it's only month old.

I hope the bionic works for me, I like the screen a lot better, I already got a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and the weptop feature is simply awesome. And yes, you can watch hulu movies on the webtop feature or atleast till hulu gets greedy and puts a stop to it...

Wish me luck :)

If anyone has comparison questions, I'll follow this thread and do the best I can to answer them. :)

Updated 3-27-2012:

I recieved my replacement from Verizon and it still did the same thing.

Sorry to sound like a *****e. It just sounds funny because the Bionic was a pretty buggy phone and still is for some people. Just thought it was ironic. Good look though. Hope it works out for you man

It is quite strange how some people get phone that are buggy and some don't ... The problems I had with my droid x? Others didn't (Shruggs).

How I wound up with this bionic is they pushed up an upgrade date for me and I got it for 99 dollars (On one of my other lines).

I bought the rezound based on my experience with the thunderbolt and because of the specs. The Rezound is a spectacular phone, It's just that I had to keep reloading web pages because they didn't load right the first time. Opera worked great for awhile and it began hanging up in the middle of loading a web page.

You're quite right, after I ordered the bionic I saw all of the complaints! So far so good though. I'm using every feature and pulling in a lot of data and using it hard, but I normally do that anyways! lol I must say though, for some odd reason this bionic is faster or at least appears so than my rezound. It will be interesting to see how the rezound they're sending me will act.

I forgot to mention in this thread that the browsers didn't act up in 3g either! It was just 4g for some reason.

It's strange how people can have the same phones and have different experiences. :)

I remember I used to get those problems before (less than a month after phone release). Websites wouldn't full load in 4G (some images would not display or GIFS for some reason) In 3G, it would work great just VERY SLOW LOADING. IDK how you can like the screen on the Bionic since its one of the worst screen's in the market IMO.

I would tell you to Root to but most aren't comfortable with that idea. Whatever phone works better for you is the only thing that really matters. I would NEVER trade my Rez for a Bionic (or any MOTO phone). But thats my decision, if it works better for you then good for you :)

As far as your woes similar to mine, what did you do to fix it? Did you just root it and load another rom? If I did root it, I want it all stock with out the sense interface and everything has to work. :)

As far as the screen goes? I can look past that for performance reasons. I do a lot of writing on these devices and use them for music, so the screen isn't that important. That's why this phone so far appears to be working for me, everything seems faster. :) Plus I have found the webtop feature invaluable. :)

I switched from the Bionic to the Rezound after the supposed first update "fix" they put out and havent looked back. I know its been updated may times since so hope all goes well with it. It could have been or maybe now is a good phone. Just too many issues and not any answers or fixes at the time. Love the Rezound though. Best to ya

You should've at least asked them to put you in a phone that hasn't been out for over 6 months. That's like buying a 2012 car and not liking it so the dealer putting you in a 2011. Had you updated the flash player on the phone? Good luck with your new phone. For the record, browser issues on 4G and not 3G ddoesn't sound like an issue with a brand of phone, but an issue with that particular phone.

The phone in the store did the same thing, I'm ordering a replacement phone and I'm willing to bet it will do the same.

I'm a stickler on updates, yes, the flash player was updated. If you have read through the other comments, there's a reason I chose the bionic, for the webtop feature that so far I have used all weekend. :)

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the 4g network where I'm at combined with the way htc does things on the rezound. What would be the odds that both my phone and the one at the store does the same thing?

We'll find out when my replacement arrives. :)

It seems to be luck of the draw anymore regardless of the device manufacturer ... I'm still seeing reports of people having trouble with their bionics. It's pretty sad when it feels like I'm playing the lottery everytime I upgrade a phone...

Thank you. :)

I bought a bionic on launch day. It was the most horrible phone experience I have ever had. I believe the latest update has fixed a lot of the problems. I traded it for the rezound over a month ago. Both phones seem to have quirky problems. I am most pleased with the rezound camera! It blows away the bionics. I do however miss the bionic screen when outside. While my rezound screen is brilliant and beautiful indoors, it is almost impossible to see outdoors. The bionic screen was great outdoors! It seems like no matter what I get there is always a some feature I wish it had! Good luck!

I updated the post, I got my replacement from Verizon and it did the same thing. That's a total of three Rezounds now. The original, the one at the store and the replacement. What would be the odds? I think it has something with the 4g network out where I'm at and the Rezound doesn't like it. Sounds crazy I know.

Satires... loaded up ICS 4.0.3. An all I can say is if you can wait for the soon update....do so. This by far, IMO, is a significant update. My rezound is like night and day now.

If you can.....wait.....wait....wait....this update is that good.

I'm running the latest leak, so far no good... I dropped my bionic yesterday, now I have to blow another 500 bucks! OUCH!

It still works, I'm just a perfectionist... lol :D

The bionic is still smoking the rezound. :)

I tried the bionic before going to the rezound. I actually liked the UI better than the HTC. Also, the radio in the Motorola is much better. I just wanted something a little smaller and I think the rezound is a little faster, but I liked the bionic while i had it.

Yeah, htc does have a pretty interface, but for what I do with these phones I can lose the eye candy and the bloat for speed. :)

So far my bionic is still driving circles around my rezound. :D

Thank you! I did drop my bionic yesterday.. I about fell into tears... (I need therapy for loving my phone this much)

It still works perfect but I'm buying a new one anyways! If my droid x had 4g I would have never been willing to sell it. :D
