Hi All
I updated mine S2 ages ago from 2.3.3 (i think) to its current 2.3.5 using Odin. Since then i have been unable to update via Kies (which is normal because i have done what i have done).

Regarding ICS, are we all waiting for the Samsung release of this and then we can all update via Odin?

My Phone says:
Model Number - GT-I9100
Android Version - 2.3.5
Baseband Version - I9100XXKDJ
Kernal Version - 2.6.35.7-I9100XXKI3-CL577579 se.infra@SEP-55 #2
Build Number - GINGERBREAD.XXKI3

You can update via Odin right now if you're feeling brave - several non-UK v4.0.x firmwares are available around the 'net. None of the official UK versions have rolled out yet however, other than that for H3G.

When they do, word will probably appear in the following thread within minutes: http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...7-new-thread-ics-official-update-release.html :)

"Samsung UK is working hard to bring Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) to our Galaxy S II customers. We are unable to confirm exact dates as the software testing and approval process is subject to several variables, but we are working as quickly as we can. Thank you for your patience."

I'm actually glad it isn't out yet and they are testing rigourously.
The official ICS in other countries are absolutely shocking. Its CRAP. Buggy can't believe they called it official and released it. ICS is simply not ready and if it takes them to actually say screw 4.0.3 and wait for 4.0.3 source then I'm fine waiting. Because ICS options on SGSII isn't anywhere near good enough. Last Gingerbread update blows it out of the water.

I'm happy waiting. Even until Q2. Tbh there isn't that much of an "upgrade" for us. Maybe a few features but can the SGSII get any faster?
