Someone else may beat me to it and this will be removed if its not okay with mods, but here is the post & instructions on how to update to the official 4.0.4 from Verizon.

Edit: There are reports that this ROM breaks root - temporarily taking the link out of my post. I will post if its fixed or a real update is found.

Well, I took a short nap and it looks like I got beat to the punch, so uploading it would be moot.

I drove from Ann Arbor, MI to Akron, OH to Pittsburgh, PA and didn't see the update. My reception sucks. Does anyone know if this updates the radio or anything pertaining to it? I didnt see it in the Verizon release.

Well I am going to download the DL rom, to see if having the ROM match the radios helps anything at all.

How do you know it has nothing to do with geography, seems like west coast people have had it show up but not east coast? Would it be ok if those that get the update post where and when they got it?

Experience.

I got the update, and I'm in the midwest (Michigan to be exact). In the past they've just rolled out in random batches. There was always speculation as to if they were geographically based or not, and the consensus was always that they were not.
