Anyone preorder from Radio Shack?

I hate Radio Shack so much. It is ridiculous that we have not received our pre orders or any updates, especially since everyone that ordered it from Sprint has already received theirs, and Best Buy has received theirs. My wife got hers this past Sunday.

Now Sprint announces today that they are shipping the 32GB pre orders out today and tomorrow, and they should have it by Friday. I saw a post earlier on XDA from someone and they said they were told that the Radio Shack distribution center received them all on yesterday, and were shipped out to the stores and that they should be in the store by Friday for pick up.

Funny, because i'm hearing that's when they will be available in all stores for regular sales. Then what was the purpose of the pre-order. Might work to my advantage because I ordered the blue one and I fell in love with my wife's white S3, something I never thought I would do, love a white phone. So it would be nice on see a blue one and a white one side by side, especially since there are so many sexy cases out there and they all seem to look better on the white models.

All I know is back in high school I worked at RadioShack for two years and the entire company was garbage. From the way it was run, to the shitty products they sold, to the horrible customer service.

If I recall correctly didn't they almost go under from bankruptcy as well?

I would honestly call and complain and get them to offer you something to satisfy the pre-order basically meaning nothing. Worth a shot right?

I'm going to do that tomorrow. Samsung should be shipping these with a free case like HTC did. HTC did the right thing, and no one had to ask. They were shipped with a apology note and a free case.

I might wait till the phone comes in to complain. I think at the very least they should refund my money for the deposit.

I preordered through best buy and haven't received mine yet.

Yeah I was thinking along the lines of a free case like you said or maybe the activation fee waived. As far as a deposit goes are you referring to the carrier deposit for the line of service or did they make you put a deposit down to secure the phone?

The $50 deposit to pre-order the phone. If i'm able to get the phone before Radio Shack get's it, or even if they come on the same day I can buy it somewhere else. If I can get the 32 GB one on the same day, I will get that.

... still beats the hell out of standing in line for hours. I'm a latecomer ... pre-ordered my AT&T S3 last Friday. I was advised that pre-orders will cease on June 24th, and shipments will begin on the 25th. The manager stated that I could realistically expect it within a week after that. Walk-in sales won't likely begin until mid-July (depends on the carrier).

Since I'm trading in my iPhone 4, I can still communicate with the world, so I'm not pacing the floor waiting for a call. Besides, I'm getting a credit of $157 toward my $199 phone ... so a state-of-the-art device for $42 is worth the wait. There's nothing like the Radio Shack program anywhere ... couldn't even get that price if I sold it outright. I'll probably buy a 64GB card online, so I'll still be into the new toy for under $100 ... can't beat it. I'm so glad that I didn't spring for an iPhone 4S.

I must be the fortunate one, having had absolutely no issues with Radio Shack ... in fact, the store manager has gone out of his way to provide outstanding customer service, right down to carefully (as in five minutes)applying the screen protectors on every phone I've purchased (this will be my fourth under the AT&T family plan). No bubbles, no scratches ... no complaints.

Major new phone promotions always hit snags ... it's not exclusively an iPhone thing. I'm just wondering what the Mac fanboys are saying about Apple being the one to play catch-up these days. Steve Jobs must be spinning in his grave.

It's going to be well worth the wait ... hang in there, guys.
