Verizon Unlimited LTE going away with S3 according to BGR

Yea. That should be enough said right there. I could send them an email about viking aliens invading Earth to steal our sandwiches in order to appease the scientology god of ugly people, and it would be just as valid as this.

Until Verizon Wireless says otherwise, I'm not even taking it with a grain of salt. I'm throwing it completely out.

I will definitely go to the mat to defend our unlimited data plans. They left us a voice mail indicating that the unlimited data, while accidentally offered when we placed our pre-order, was a mistake, and isn't an option. My brother has battled today via e-mail, and I don't know if he resolved this. Perhaps the initial thread had a little bit of credibility, or perhaps VZW is just having fun messing with us.

We got an actual message from VZW over the weekend claiming unlimited data wasn't an option with our GS3's (that should be here tomorrow). We were communicating with VZW throughout the day, and they finally apologized to us late in the day. They got us to calm down when they admitted they'd made a silly mistake, and that we met all the necessary criteria to keep unlimited data by ordering before 6/28 etc.

Deep breath. I'm all better now. Now I only need Fed Ex to bring me my phone!

i got both mine and my wifes SG3 today. after activating it i checked my account online and BAM. i was automatically switched from unlimited data on both lines to 2gb shared data. i was pissed. so i called vzw and they said that because i activated the phone after the 28th of june there was nothing they could do about it. i said that is not gonna sit well with me. i told them to give it back and after about 20 mins of back and forth with the rep he finally gave up and gave me the unlimited data package back for both lines.

do not let them take it from you. do not hang up the phone untill they have restored it. do not give in. they will feed you all kinds of BS just to get off the phone with you. i didnt buy any of it. if you ordered in the store the reciept you signed is a binding contract. by law they have to honor it. if you ordered online when you clicked the agree button that is now binding just like a signiture on a reciept. do not let them feed you the BS about having to get a hold of billing and having to wait a week. all this was said to me not more than 2 hours ago. i got all of it restored. the reps can restore it.

just make sure that when you activate your phone you check your account online immediately. they tried to sneak a fast one on me and i caught it right away. i argued with them for about 20 mins.

i ordered 2 32 gig sg3 on the 6th of june and they still tried to make me switch.

Once I opened I have 2 documents:
Equipment Upgrade - 615-XXX-XXXX
Insert: Understanding Your Data Charges

The first document has my new account summary, but the most important info is under Features:

5 Email & Web Unlimited $29.99

The Understanding Your Data Charges is the basic, what charges to your data, what doesn't stuff.
