Small apps

Looks like the Xperia Tablet has improved small apps. Most notably that you can make a small app for any widget:

I wonder if we will get this as part of the JB update?

i just tried and i think we already have it now (original Tablet S on ICS). I just haven't figured out how to add more

i have the mini browser, calculator and remote control mini-apps.

Yes, they added that with the ICS update in April, there is just the browser, calc, and remote. The Xperia tablet adds a timer and some other stuff, plus the ability to turn any widget into a small app. It would be great if Sony brought that to the Tablet S as well, maybe as part of the JB update.

It makes the small apps much more useful if you can use any widget in them.

Looks like Sony is adding the updated small apps via an update. Not with Jelly Bean, but hey.

This feature works on tablet s now. Any widget can be a floating app. Cool.
