I read that you don't need to be rooted to install the latest JB ROMS?

If that is true could some tell me

1) Where is the most up to date ROM form my S3 - UK unbranded?
2) How is it done?!
3) Will it effect my installing the forthcoming official JB release?
4) Is it easy to reverse if I change my mind?
5) Will I lose app and or settings doing this?

Thanks

2) read forum, everything you need to know is in link above.
3) I'm not sure but they will probably have a "official" version you can install instead of waiting for it OTA.
4) I don't know if you can reverse it. I think you'd have to find a ROM that is the old version but don't know if it will update to an older version.
5) No apps lost, most settings where they should be. Few things get messed up like takser is no longer admin on your device so you gotta check that.
