Perhaps, but we're not going to the moon with our phones. Instead, we are 'liking' pictures of kittens.
It's easy to buy the technology but more people have to learn how to realize its full potential. In the 60's there was a big push to get Americans up to speed in math and I don't think today's generation is more advanced, despite the superior technology.
