[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

Okay, I wiped it all, clean-flashed 3.1 and deliberately didn't restore BT settings via Titanium Backup. Set it up & paired manually. Turned off the BT headset, turned it back on, hit Play and...

Music started right up!

Go figure. I have no idea what was clogging that up, but I know now that it's something in the restore/dirty flash process. Kudos to Team Sourcery: sorry I ever doubted you! :D

Yeah, Chief as much as we would like to streamline the restore process (very nice write-up, btw) it still can be very much a YMMV sort of thing, not capable of the broad brush.

I am not 'capping' on you, I found out myself as well. I have been using MyBackupPro and used the portion in data to backu0p system settings. Upon restore it did restore pretty mcuh everything that SystemUI.apk (and/or framework-res.apk?) controls, but I believe it broke my LED controls. I've been using Lightflow with this rom for ever, but with my latest clean flash and MBP restore I can't quite get Lightflow, nor the built in LED controls to 'stick'.

'sigh'. Off to a cleaner flash or to wait for 4.2 . . . . . . .?

I just got 3.1 with the cobalt blue theme and it's not letting me purchase an app from the market? The accept button never becomes active here is a screenshot. I also am using the cobalt blue theme with zenith softkeys.
Here is a screenshot:

I'm booting into clockwork mod rec.v6.0.1.0 wiping then trying to flash the zip at op download.
Shit it installed now.I think I needed to power off then boot into recovery.

Just a wild guess but if you boot into cwm using rom manager it errors out trying to flash anything. So avoid the Rom manager option in the pop up that shows everytime you download something through the toolbox. Just boot manually into Rom manager..

I was wandering what was going on with jb 4.2 if anyone even knew about it yet

Wow, 4.2 has some great stuff! In fact, AC is reporting that one person has ported the 4.2 camera and gallery to the Galaxy Nexus  :)

I definitely look forward to photosphere and Miracast. These allow you to take full omni-directional pictures; and miracast allows you to use a big-screen HDTV to mirror what's on your Nexus screen (adapter likely required). Very handy indeed.

As far as other enhancements: Google Now gets smarter with upcoming movies, package tracking, flight schedules, restaurant and hotel reservations, etc. Oh yeah: Google's gonna beat out Swype at their own game, adding a swipable keyboard input with uncannily accurate predictive text and automatic spacing between words. Daydream uses news headlines or photos as a screensaver while docked or idle. And 4.2 for tablets ONLY allows multiple user accounts :)

While I'm not a swiping fan, I think the rest of it is a quantum step forward... and I so look for JBSourcery to be adding it all as it comes available in AOSP!

Okay folks, no doubt our combined smartness can fix this:

My son's Verizon Galaxy Nexus has just been clean flashed up to 3.1 and still has the SAME display issue that he had on 2.4: When he hits the power button to put the phone in standby, it almost immediately pops back on at the unlock screen! Even hitting the power button a SECOND time it stays off a little longer... but eventually turns itself on again. I would have thought a full wipe and a brand new ROM would have corrected this: I was evidently wrong.

This is a serious battery drain: how will you ever know if it's on or off in your pocket?

Nothing in display settings to change this. Again it was a full wipe install.

Can you think of anything that might cause this? And any way to FIX it?

Thanks for helping us resolve this!
