I just got my new Razr Maxx HD. Naturally, I've been reading around different forums.

Some posters have been talking about how their battery doesn't really start performing until after the third full charge.

I was wondering: is this true? Any testimonials on how the battery did at first, vs. how it does now?

Right now I'm on my first full charge. Here are my stats right now:

I think the "3rd charge" or whatever is crap. out of the gate I got nearly 42 hours on a single charge. of course, I was connected to wifi and wasn't using much of anything, but still... 8 hours usage? you'd really have to be doing something crazy that's not showing up in the battery stats.

I'm probably on my 5th or 6th charge and this is what mine looks like. This is actually a bad day for me, as I usually get aroung 6-7 hours of screen on time. (*Granted, it's usually in less time, like 1 day and 4-5 hours with about 10-15% left.*) And although the screenshot is showing 3G, 4G is turned on also. But your battery usage should definitely not be down to 32% after only 9 hours, unless you have everything cranked up to the max and you're using it non-stop. You should get close to a full day at the least.

P.S... I should note that I'm rooted and running the leaked JellyBean OTA rom. Which I have JakeDay's 4.1.1/4.1.2 rom installed over.

That "lls" in my picture is GPS. I used that ALOT today to test it out. I'm guessing that's what drained the battery.

I went down 9% over 3 hours. That's a lil more like it.

I'd have to say that I'm seeing a difference after my second to third charge cycle.

I'm on the JB leak and I'm currently 24 hours into a charge with 68% left. That's with 1.5 hours of screen time and about two hours of listening to music over bluetooth. After 6 hours yesterday I was down to 97%. I have to say that this charge has been the best yet.

0830-0000, everyday -- wifi on, gps on, bt on, mobile data on, screen auto brightness, background data on.

0000-0830, everyday -- wifi off, gps off, bt off, mobile data off, screen auto, background data on (because I hate getting notices of it being off).

ringtones and notifications are set to about medium/medium-low. I have vibrate turned off for most apps.

keep in mind that I'm home (using wifi) most of the time right now because I'm off work for baby bonding. however, I still primarily use my phone to check email (3 accts), check facebook and post/reply, get twitter updates (like the upcoming JB release for HD models), use the camera to snap pics of my daughter, use sms/mms, and phone calls... right at this post my battery is 81%, 13h47m on battery.

and if I could figure out how to EASILY post a screenshot without having to upload to an off-site first and then post in the comment, I would.

edited: photobucket ftw... had to dig up my old user info. sheez...

Thanks for the info sever.

I'm on my third charge. Here's my stats:

I've kept GPS on all day. Went on the internet plenty at work, and read a few articles during my half hour lunch. Used the phone for a half hour too (fraud credit card problems). Used internet on wifi at home and a little bit of 4g later on.

I have smart actions where wifi is off at work and on at home, that are GPS based. I also have low battery one where screen dims and data on only when the phone is on. And I have a super low battery where the screen dims even more and apps only use GPS when I'm using those apps.

But...3rd charge magic? Maybe. Maybe I'm not using it as much now? Not sure, but I am feeling better about my battery.
