anyone disslike 4.2 with me? as of now.

My objections are not major, but I don't think anything seems better in 4.2. I don't like hiding two different pulldowns on different sides of the screen. I don't like the confusing reorganization of storage in the name of multi-user support (I especially don't like the way it broke several apps which then needed to be fixed to support it). I can live with the changes, I just didn't find them at all useful.

If you never typed much on the screen keyboard then you are missing the big improvement, Bluetooth support for audio is better and working in my case where before it didn't. They still have the delete in the middle of a sentence bug but cursor motion on screen is better. If you have something weird happening then suspect the apps that are not included with the N7, not the N7 itself. This is about the most stable computing device I have ever owned and I have a lot if them!

so you dont like system updates because it forces app devs to have to update their software as well? wow... this is a fact of life for software. period. apple, microsoft, etc., etc. If the system updates, usually there are associated application updates.

No it is not: It is a fact of life for poorly thought out, non-backward compatible software changes. All too often that's the only kind we get anymore as the "change is good" crowd damns the torpedoes and surges forward (or sideways, or some direction) with the light of "improvement" burning in their eyes.

do you REALLY think that all devs are going to make their software work on all platforms? pft... I have a perfectly fine and working printer. had it for some 7 or 8 years. when I built my new rig I found out that HP did not make drivers for Win 7. thus I had to rely on the generic Win 7 settings (which worked, but was was only really print or scan- not a lot of customization options) or buy a new printer with updated software for the full suite of options.

and another, apple, example is perfect -- wife bought an ipod, plugged it into itunes for unlock. was told itunes needed to be updated. selected to update, was told needed to have the latest Mac OS. paid however much for the new Mac OS, to update itunes (a free program btw), to activate a device she'd already paid for.

Like I said, no problems here, but...

I do not like all the new folders/mirrors/emulated crap, not a real issue for me, but I'm sure some apps/developers are having issues dealing with file locations.

I do not like the right pulldown; solution: I don't pull it down (ever).

Problem with Clock? Lots of easy widgets to fix it... nice to swipe to a calendar agenda! Nice upgrade.

I would probably say the update was worthless if it wasn't for the keyboard. I've been using Swype Beta for more than a year and just uninstalled it. Being able to toss apps is a good thing.

I'm sure there's a method in Google's madness.

oh yes im sure by spring we will have the best up to date system just not impressed yet.

What exactly don't you like/dislike? Just sounds like trolling to me.....

I have a Galaxy S3 (4.0.4) and a Nexus 7 (4.2.1), and neither have disappointed me so far.

The best feature of 4.2 for me is the ability to support multiple accounts. Given that 4.2 is relatively new, there have been some glitches, but at least as far as the Apps I use they have been addressed expediently.

At no point have I come across a blocking issue and find both 4.0.4 and 4.2.1 work extremely well.
