Help Quick Pic ?

All-

Just curious if someone can clear up the differences between the Quick Pic app and the stock gallery?

I see a lot of posts on here for people suggesting to use it instead of the stock gallery. One of the biggest reasons that I have read is due to the stock gallery dumping all photos and videos in one big folder or something like that.

I downloaded Quick Pic to try it and I like the interface but I really don't see much of a difference....what am I doing wrong?

My stock gallery breaks down my pics correctly into the associated folders that I originally set up....it does not dump them all together like people have posted here....maybe I am missing something?

Any insight would be great...

I'm on a Bionic with ICS ...

I have a lot of different projects and a lot of folders containing images relevant to each.

QuickPic allows me to go after the images through the folders instead of just jamming them all together the way My Gallery does it.

See that is what I don't understand in ref to that...when I click on My Gallery, then I can either select Camera Roll or right below that is My Library. When I go to My Library, all my folders come up accordingly? Up in the top left of the screen I have Folders selected as my view so maybe that is the difference?

I don't understand what people are saying with dumping them all together because mine does not do that...thanks for the response!

Thanks for pointing that out. I gave up on My Gallery about a year ago and just don't use it. (I called it iGallery.)

My major objection was the lack of a folder orientation. As you point out it now seems to have it by hitting the icon in the upper left corner and choosing Folders.

Quick pic also allows you to hide and password protect images or entire folders as well.

Yeah, I was aware of that as well...I read a few posts that mentioned hiding certain folders or whatever and the lock feature.

But personally for me that is not really a feature that I need. I like to see all my folders or else the pics would not even be on the phone. And I don't have any pics that no one holding my phone can't see. As for the lock feature, I think having a lock / pin on the phone itself is sufficient for me

So looks like Quick Pic will be coming off my phone, like someone else pointed out as well. Thanks for your response and assistance!
