Is this working for you, if so that would be great as means we can breakaway from the pivos versions.

Anyone else can confirm that the direct builds from XBMC are working for us?

I noticed they are up to beta3, so they are cranking out the builds which is great news.

I tried Frodo and got the black screen. I then re-installed the Futeko 10 Oct build, with its hardware acceleration:

You might like to try UnlockRoot.exe.

Download and install.

Your unit will probably not be listed, but try anyway.

It worked on my ATV1000 and that was not listed.

I have tired on both CVBS and HDMI.. No display... Just give you some background what happen.. I have accidentially flash my M3 512MB using update_512 instead of update_512F...so, now it is like "BRICKed"...

I have opened the box... but no clue what and how...is it possible to recover it?..

Any advise? since it DEATH.. I don't mind to experience it if you have any idea...can post or pm me...thanks.

Just looking at the geniatech site it looks like alot of model use the same firmware(ATV300B, ATV310B,ATV510B,ATV1000B,ATV1100B,ATV3000B,ATV4000B) would it be possible to modify their updates to be rooted?

edit the box actually comes rooted

i recently had the ATV510B which is a M3 version so it is a 1gig model, and bricked it when i tryed to apply the xbmc linux version, now i believe that pivos are due to bring the M3 firmware out soon (hopefully this side of xmas) and then you should be able to flash the 1gig models with this, and it should be awsome, as i have got the 512mb version with linux on, and its rapid for you tube, etc etc

Hope that helps anyone who has the new sumvision / geniatech or futeko new models, as upto yet xbmc linux will not run on these.

Please note that the first 3 are from a Spanish site and the 4th from a Russian one.

Further the connector plug pin outs are different. In my opinion the Russian one is correct as it is related the our TV boxes.

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I think this is the right place.
I have a Diamond Android Media Player (AMP1000), and can't find any discussion or support for it. It has the same M1 media box board that most of the devices in this thread has.
Running ICS, I left it one for a couple of days and didn't use it. When I got back on it I figured I should reboot. After a Reboot, the right side and bottom of the screen are cut off, adjusting screen size and resolution makes no difference. Anyone have any idea what I should do?

Reflash it.. nothing you will do will get it back..
I have been through this too..
Once you reflash, it will come back to normal.
there is some discussion on it a few pages back..
just search my posts..

Just check these commands..
Then Terminal to do :
su
insmod /system/lib/modules/uinput.ko

Also make sure you have the right directory going..
I am sure its just something simple, as I had the same problem.

ok, after reading and going through the threads, I finally got the nerve to flash the Pivos M1 software to my box and all working well..

This is the software..

A few reasons I did this was.. the upgrade on the Geniatech site for Geniatech M1 Android 4.0 20120730 has a memory leak and kills my box.. I have used CPU software to see it running at 100% after the flash and it just doesnt get off it..
so I have been running the Geniatech M1 Android 4.0 20120529 Version which is also fine for me.. but the Pivos gives me..

1: Ability to change governers - but not O/C

2: Ability to use Extended app storage and enable SWAP partition - Link2SD

lus I can go through their support base and get an idea of what can be done and what cant be done.. and as I know this is working well, they have an upgrade on the way, which as I know they test before they release, I will flash once it is released..

ok, a couple of things to remember, I am not supporting this software and Pivos is not going to support you if you brick your box doing this.. so dont go spamming their forums with your requests if you screw up.. just be thankful there is development from such a talented group of guys for the same chipset we have got..

Also, they a released the source code for the kernel so if some one with more time then me wants to play.. this is the link..

About 6 months ago, I tried to upgrade my firmware on the ATV1000, after
the upgrade it had a weird lockup problem. After talking to Geniatech support, they provided me a serial connector (require opening the box to hook up) to revived the box. I have attached instruction that was given to me. Try contact them and maybe they can help you. I didn't even have to pay shipping for the connector, so their support was great.

well, i have done a lot of reading and i mean a lot, and yes i know alot about the geniatech / sumvision / futeko box atv 510 "512mb" version, and i think we all got lucky that when pivos released the linux xbmc version, we could all flash the clone's of xios ds.

And believe me, they work 100% on that flash, i have sold about 20 of them with the gingerbread os on them, then flashed with the pivos-linux on, and you tube / navi x / etc, all works fine and no buffering or lip sync issue's.

But, i think we will all have a problem with the new M3 1gig boxes, as i think pivos are going to lock the linux firmware to there boxe's only.

I can see where pivos are coming from as xbmc guys and pivos are now working together.

But the price of approx
