Root [Verizon] Need some help

Ill see if i can git him on tomorrow he's at home now. We using the work computer it's on xp if I'm not mistaken.

When ya mean none need to be extracted maybe that's what we doing wrong. I know he put that one file like it said to do on his sd card. Other than than I think he made a folder on desktop and extracted all the zip files.

If I remember correctly, none of the files that are downloaded need to be extracted. (with the exception of the Odin.zip file)

Edit: here is a video to watch about it too:

Something is not right....what do you mean "cant find them"? Once you click on PDA in odin, you need to find the file and double click on it to "send" it to Odin.
Here is a computer screenshot of my Odin ready to flash the VRALEC bootchain....my phone is not plugged in atm, so that is why you do not see that.:

Only one file should be on the sd card itself:
One of these 3:
For Root Only - Download SuperSU to your SD Card - Link
For Unlocked Bootloader Only - Download Verizon Galaxy S III Unlocked Bootloader to your SD Card - Link
For Both Root and Unlocked Bootloader ***RECOMMENDED*** - Download SuperSU + Unlocked Bootloader to your SD Card

All others will be downloaded to your computer.
Did I understand your statement correctly?

Man, I am really sorry I couldn't help you out to get your phone rooted.

I don't understand what is happening:(
Please post back here what you decided to do, or if you find a solution o.k.?

Sorry for popping in here. I was asked to look. This phone and process is different for me.

------------------------------------------------------------------

There are various other PC apps (kies being one, but also things like Myphone explorer, possibly Airdroid?) that can mess with adb commands

You need to ensure you uninstall any samsung and android applications from the PCs, install the drivers and start from scratch. Its odd that you cannot root either phone on multiple computers, so something that is common on each is the cause.

Its either the files, the USB cable, Installed software, Security software (Firewalls, AV etc)...

Best thing to do is set up adb manually (not using any "toolkit") and see if you can do commands like :

"adb devices" (Shows serial of connected devices)
"adb reboot" (obvious I think)

This is the starting point.

Here is adb:

follow the readme to setup.
