Help Gmail Notifications for Samsung Galaxy S II

Has anyone had issues with their Gmail notifications lately? My phone used to vibrate if it was on silent if a new e-mail came in & now it doesn't give you that option. Now, I only see for it to vibrate 24/7 (with or without sound). I have multiple accounts & some of them still have the old settings that I would like to have for all of my accounts.

Any ideas or info on why this is happening?

I have an S3 but if I open Gmail then settings then click on email account then if you "check" notification the click on sound & vibratethe check vibrate it should work

I have that option as well but I do not want it to vibrate 24/7. I only want it to vibrate if I have the sound off. There used to be an option that would allow you to select when you wanted it to vibrate & now it's gone.

I also still don't understand why some of my accounts still have that setting while others don't even though the option is not available on ANY of the accounts.

I'm thinking it must have happened with the last update. UGH

Another option is to change email apps. I use MailDroid and it has many more options than the standard email app.
