I searched for HTC to see what would pop up and I saw a newsletter that was dated 4/9/10 so I opened it up and it had 6 phones, some named and some not named. One of them being an HTC with an 8mp camera which obviously is the Incredible but it didn't have an item/UPC number. But the date was confirmed for 4/29 for Sam's clubs and Wal Mart's with Wireless Center's inside. It did have it by region, ie. Northeast, South, etc. And some it said N/A by. But the Northeast division did say something like full shipment or something like that by it. I only remember that one because I live in the Northeast I had the paper printed out and all but I left it sit around somewhere today and didn't have time to reprint before I left So take this info for what its worth, just thought i'd share what I found out today with everyone here that is as excited to get this phone as i am

I just confirmed this!! Have no camera or way to print it, but for Device Info, it has "Touch Device, Android OS with a 8MP Camera" and 4/29 for Launch/Transition Date

I'm sure I am way behind on this, but had to respond to that one. I've been trying to mellow out on this thread and rejoin the real world since CTIA and have been 10-20 pages behind ever since :rolleyes:

Anyone else thinking we'll see the Motorola Shadow? That'd be a phone from nearly every manufacturer. Plus Pink Phones, minus the Nexus One & the USB Modem = 6 phones.

Three of my daughters (13, 15, 17) just came home from school and I showed them the Kin phones, thinking they'd have the same reaction I did - Ugh. They all loved the Kin Two. ("Look, it has a smiley face button!") Maybe Microsoft is onto something.

That'd be more likely than the Nexus One. I doubt Verizon would include the Nexus One in their line-up release, as it's not technically a Verizon phone. It's a 3rd party phone that simply works on their network. So I'd say it's a safe bet the "6 new devices" does not include the N1.

Yeah I'm thinking the Shadow is one of the 6 phones as well.

I am not so sure that it won't be called the HTC Incredible just as it says on the User Guide that was leaked. HTC did apply for a trademark with the US Trademark offices. The date of their application is November 2009.

As I am sure you all know, better than I, that Droid is trademarked by Lucasfilm and is being used by Verizon under a license agreement.

The trademark for Android is owned by Google.

Just an FYI - haven't seen it on the thread yet, but The Journey mentioned in the internal verizon memo (the journey begins Monday) is the marketing campaign for the Kin:

You think the Shadow is going to be out in Q2?

Maybe July-August but I really doubt the Shadow is coming in Q2. It was a surprise when people said this summer, which I still think is pushing it.

BTW, same re your Pens- tons of respect, but much disdain.

To keep the hockey police off our backs, I would add that such a series would be...INCREDIBLE! And, it would be even more so if we could stream the games to our INCREDIBLE handsets!!

His personal contact at Verizon stated that she would be at her computer at the immediate time of release as so my phone can be ordered. Sounds very good for two weeks release.
