Help How can I set up tethering on my Sprint s3?

I want to share my phones internet with my samsung galaxy note 10.1. I tried doing this with the s3 bluetooth and every time I connect the 2 devices my phone disconnects the 3g data. Is there any other way to get my note 10.1 to tether up ?

Try the FOX-FI/PDA NET+ combo:

Do any of the major carriers allow free tethering down there in the US of A?

I've never heard of paying extra for tethering up here. Strange.

Any unlimited data plan charges extra for tethering.

The ones where you only get X amount of data/month you can use however you please

No I havent purchased that. Do I have to root in order to tether?

You pretty much have to be rooted or pay for it. Non-rooted options may work one minute and be patched in a later update

It is an add on in the US for tethering. There are a couple of providers that offer tethering free as long as you are not on an unlimited Data plan. Kind of backwards, if you have a 2GB plan you can tether, but if unlimited you have to pay for it.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Lets say you're paying for 4GB of data per month. You can use that 4GB of data however you like. Whether that be on your phone or sharing with 3 other people, you get 4GB.

When you're unlimited, you can easily eat up more data faster by tethering. The carriers charge you extra to be able to do that.
