So considering it will be in the stores on May 1st and not online until April 29th, wouldn't it kind of be a null point to order it online now? Just asking.

T-Mobile Delay

T-Mobile was set to go at midnight last night initially. Samsung is the one who slipped this time and was not going to be able to provide enough inventory, forcing delays on Sprint and T-Mobile. The 29th is online, May 1st is in stores (assuming there aren't any more delays).
And for the OP, since they missed their initial date, it's just the same as the S3 being available online and in stores now. Some people prefer to avoid having to go to the store and possibly waiting in line and dealing with a sales rep, and are willing to wait a few extra days for shipping. Others don't mind lines and dealing with sales reps and will put up with that stuff to get it right away in the store. As for getting it early, yes ordering online Monday is probably null at this point.

Oh look, another delay. I guess those of us who think Samsung would finally get their shi_ together are just plain stupid.

The website will have it Monday no matter what. The majority of stores get it May 30th apparently but there are select stores in your city who get it May 1st. You got to call and make sure though. Mine is reserved next Wedsnesday.

Ordered it this morning. Got an estimated arrival of May 8th so they may be treating this as a pre-order and not shipping immediately. However the guy on the line said he doesn't know for sure if they are planning on stalling shipments or not, but if they do ship today or tomorrow I should get it much earlier.
A few hours later I notice free overnight shipping on the site on the S4, but of course it's for new customers only. Called back the first time to try to get free over night shipping, the lady was something else. She said she can't cancel or change my current shipping order and just said to wait until the ground shipping comes, deny the shipment and it'll get sent back, wait for them to receive it, and then she'll send it back over night for free. She was clearly confused. Called back got another lady, she quickly said any of the shipping offers are for new customers, but waived my shipping fee.

Just ordered mine. Supposed to ship 5/3. I'm on prepaid and wanted to switch to postpaid and buy the phone. It was a nightmare trying to talk to a live person. I finally just ordered online like a new account. I guess I'll just let my prepaid account run out of money. I've seen a few others have just started getting confirmation that it has been shipped.

The status on T-Mobile's site updated to "shipped" and gave a UPS tracking number. However the tracking number isn't valid. Porbably just printed the label and waiting for the truck to pick up the daily shipments. I'll update when the tracking number goes live.
