Root [ROM][WIP]CM10.0.0.l0-BobZ

you just need to use es explorer or something that will use root privlages to mount system as writable the build prop file is in the system folder

I think what the question meant was what did you edit and what did you edit it too.

Let me stress this again. Any changes/edits/mods anyone does that fixes shyt, please post up what you did exactly. Don't post up the whole build.prop and expect us to dig thru it to find what was done. Think about it a minute.. thats like one of us devs posting we have cm* working etc etc etc... here the code, go build it. See my point?? ;)

if you use klink you can tether real well with the 4-28 build also edit the build prop for higher in call volume also on 4-28 build i get the 3g icon with 4 g speeds over 5 megs, allo i did was change the mode very simple

Have you tried this personally on the motion? Bcuz i tried editing the cm10 build.prop on the default and on the step size and it didnt change anything.

i never have enough time for my hobbies but if i take tomarrow off i will prob find out what to do to fix the volume cant go back to any stock rom now lol. time to fix the light issue and the battery drain as well but i dont know what to do to get better accuracy with the gps. i can try a few tweeks in a bit and see
My battery life is pretty decent. the battery drain issue is probably a combination of the backlight not turning off sometimes and 4g. I think if the backlight was fixed we'd all experience decent battery life

Well I tried it and I must say, this ROM is amazing. The progress that has been made and all the work done on this is great and I thank all the devs responsible. I really want to use this as a daily driver but I'm a perfectionist and the few little bugs that are left annoy me a bit. So I flashed back to stock for now. But I will be keeping an eye on this;)

On build 4_28 my battery life was better than stock once I got used to turning the back light off

Same here, I listen to music on my phone at work streaming with spotify, normally on stock it'd be dead by lunch, with this rom on lte it lasted till about 3 hours after lunch, with it on evdo it lasted till the end of a 13 hour shift which is amazing.
also, just noticed you live in Detroit, I live in westland and work in highland park, so we're pretty close.

Guys I replaced the GPS.config file with hk's from his last build and it snapped right on to my location after I turned on my WiFi I was not driving but it looks like it might of fixed it using as my daily now for sure just to be clear I was not connected to WiFi so

It's not entirely necessary for you to be connected to WiFi for the GPS to lock on to you a lot easier, it just has to be on.

ninja edit: though, try it again with the WiFi off just to see what happens

Please Read this

Ok. Well I am sure that all the devs and everyone loves all your input on this thread everyone...but let's try and keep this to bug reports and patches/fixes

when we dilute the thread with thanks and random posts...it makes it harder for the Devs to see what the problems are and for the people who are flashing over to find the fixes...

I'm not trying to be a stickler or anything...it's just..if we all cooperate it makes it easier for all of us :)

Bug reports try to keep to a uniform format...have the first line of the post say "BUG REPORT"
and list what version you are running and the issues, in bullet points or numbered lines...something easy to see and comprehend

patches and fixes...have the first line say "PATCH FOR xxxxxxx" and then describe what you did to patch it

Thank you all for everything you're doing...it's awesome to have such an active community for a simple phone like this...
