I have an LG Motion. I got on I-40 in CA traveling east and ever since then I haven't seen the 4g or EV icons on my phone once.

It's nor like I haven't been in major cities either. Flagstaff, AZ. Albuquerque, NM. Amarillo, TX. Oklahoma City, OK. Ft. Smith, Ark. What gives?

My next and last stop is Jackson, MS where I'll be staying for two weeks and I'm wondering if there's any Metro coverage there. I don't hae a computer and I can't view the Metro coverage map on my phone.

It looks to me like Jackson is Extended Home Area for Metro.

It also looks like several larger cities along 40 were, at least on Metro's coverage map,
extended home areas so I'd think you'd get an EV at least.

No one ever said Metro was Nationwide.

Bruce in Ocala, FL

Metro did claim to cover 95% of the Nation though. :/

You need to change your PRL to 3033 or 9033 to get access to Sprint's 3G.

I have traveled up I-35 from Dallas to Des Moines and then I-80 to Davenport, IA and had 1x the whole way (this was a year ago when I didn't have the motion, so only had the Optimus M+ with 3G). We also had talk and text. So, in that sense, yes we had coverage the whole trip. We just didn't have 3G data. Having 1x did stink, but we at last did have data. Oh, this was also before the advent of the special prl's like 9033.
