You don't have to pick the 5 dollar messaging option. Just leave it blank since its likely your monthly plan already has the "nationwide talk and text" header on it which means you just pick the data package and that is all.

I tried to order the phone as an upgrade and it crapped out on me.

Edit: This is such BS! I got all the way through to choosing my plan options and then the site crapped out on me. None of my information is available. This happened last night as well when I was checking to see if the phone was available for pre-order. All this info was available earlier today.

Anyone else having any problems?

Nedd help from VZW Reps. I am an Altel customer bought by Verizon with a friends and family 500 with 3 phones, one smartphone, and two razors. Am wanting to get 2 incredibles to replace smartphone (Not 3G) and 1 RZR. Online it is telling me that my RZR is not upgradable as the plan is no longer offered. It says I have to purchase a new plan for that phone. The corp. VZW store said that I could upgrade by paying an extra $20.00. I assume it is because the service for that phone is $20 added to my plan. This is my daughter's phone who is in nursing school and we are trying to be as frugal as possible. Anyone have information. Caledl verizon 800 numbe rand they did not know. Wanted to order the 2 DI's onkine but don't want to change my plan. Any comments.

you need to add the data package to one of the razrs so you have a total of 2 smartphone with data package, and 1 regular. it might be that the F&F 500 no longer offers that kind of combination. check the current family plans to see if there is a new one that suits your needs better. keep in mind you will be spending 29.99x2 plus 9.99x2 in addition to whatever plan you pick to cover your 2 incredibles and the add-a-line features with data packages.

I was wondering about the messaging option. I already have unlimited and thought it was weird they were asking me to choose 250 msgs for $5.

Wow, thats really strange. I'm the main line of a family plan and I havent made any other phone purchases. Did they take more money off at the checkout? I only looked up the phone as an upgrade on My Verizon - I havent made the plunge yet - and it said $369.99 minus the $100 online discount. Maybe I'll go to a Verizon Store tomorrow and see if I can get a better deal.

Did you look at it an an upgrade for you logged into your account or simply look at it from the phones list? If I just go onto the site without logging on and go to the phone listings, its 269. But logged in it was only 229 for me. Unless there is something about how long you've been a customer.

How can it be that NONE of my 3 phone lines are marked as the "owner" of the account? I'm unable to get into the Upgrade page because of this!

Something must be going on with the site. Of course customer service is closed until 6am!

It let me through to where you pick your plan options. Said the phone was compatible with my current plan (AC II) which I was kind of surprised about. Maybe that is what gave it fits. I guess I will have to just call in the morning. Ughh!!

Same here.. picked my phone.. tried to continue but nothing. Tried in Firefox and IE. Now it's telling me it's unavailable. Should I wait a bit, or wait till the morning?

Either the site is overloaded or there is some maintenance being done overnight. I had the same issue last night around midnight. I couldn't see any of my account info. I doubt the phone will be sold out so I guess just wait till the morning.

I was not happy to hear about the lower signal, since that is what VZW is known for...a good signal..

Engadget says the signal is amazing!

Man i hope i dont regret this purchase 2 reviews done said the signal was iffy one said with the incredible and droid side my side the droid was pulling in 5 bars while the incredible only had 2 hope this can be fixed with a update because signal matters alot to me
I didnt see that review, but I dont like the sound of that at all. A weak signal is a huge deal breaker.
