Which device do you have? What is the default browser right now? Have you tried heading into said browser's settings and clearing defaults?

Goto settings >> apps >> In all tabs locate chrome... >>open where all the options show(clear data, unistall, force stop etc) Scroll down, there will be option set default, tap on that and select it...

You can download a free app called Default app manager lite.. It will make your chrome as default app for browser..
I think you have already selected default browser as default app thats why option is not available in chrome.
Either you can use default app manager or you can manually do it as...
Goto settings then app settings then all tabs then browser scroll down tap clear default then go to chrome in same tab the option will be available to select it as default app...

Go to menu>settings>applications>internet> CLEAR defaults.
Then open the Google search app, then search for anything. You will be asked what browser you want to set as default.
