Galaxy S4 Cases and covers!

Hi all in I'm hoping some of you guys can provide some feed back. I'm looking on purchasing a wallet s-view flip case since I'm planning of getting rid of my wallet. I was looking at these three:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CRSC0R4/ref=aw_ls__1?colid=2TLUL9JLZC9T&coliid=I2FFOZR1GWH5F9&vs=1

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00E3DL3BU/ref=aw_ls__3?colid=2TLUL9JLZC9T&coliid=I12LVE61UVYJU1&vs=1

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00DM0R00I/ref=aw_ls__2?colid=2TLUL9JLZC9T&coliid=I2WHJ5588CM47G

I also would appreciate if you guys can point to other options as well thank you.

I agonized over what cover I wanted, so I ended up buying more than one. I also bought a really pretty battery cover.

First one I bought was the Elago Slim Fit in Camo Green for $9.99. I think it's already been covered in this thread so I didn't bother with photographs. I do like it, but it doesn't feel like it gives the phone much in the way of protection if I accidentally drop my phone. Plus it shows fingerprints on the back, which to me seemed hard to wipe clean. I also found the side button holes to be a pain in the butt. I feel like I need to use my fingernails to get down in there just to push the buttons. Pretty all in all, but not something I will use every day.

This was my second purchase and is what caught my eye on Amazon and what led me to my third purchase: Tonyyan Flower Embossed Battery Cover Housing for $1.99 + $4.99 shipping = $6.98. One might think that because it was made and shipped from China that it would be cheap. It's anything but. I'm extremely impressed with the artwork, the detail, and the fact that the battery cover fits like a glove. I ordered it on Aug 15th, but not sure when it was delivered since I just got home yesterday after being on vacation... it was in the mailbox. This battery cover is stunning, and since I love Asian designs I will more than likely purchase a few more of these.

My third purchase was the AmazonBasics Protective TPU Case in Frosted Clear for $5.99. Not much to say about this one other than it's perfect for showing off my new battery cover. Hard to explain how this feels because it's slick but sticky at the same time. Has a nice lip around the front edges so you can place the phone face down without the glass touching the surface. The buttons on the side of the phone are easily pressed with this case, too. I really like this case and would recommend it to anyone who loves TPU cases.

Now on to the photographs!

I really like this case. I have the regular Slim Armor, and would love to have the screen cover built into this case if I really want hard screen protection. It looks like it is a matte black finish where the original Slim Armor is a shiny black.

I also bought the Samsung OEM Wireless charging cover and pad, and the Slim Armor will NOT fit over the Samsung OEM wireless charging cover. It adds too much bulk and the original Slim Armor won't fit.

Does anyone have the new Slim Armor S View, as well as the Samsung OEM wireless charging cover, and can you say whether the new Slim Armor S View case will fit over the Samsung OEM wireless charging cover? If not, then I won't have a choice but to get a 3rd party slim wireless charging receiver if I want to use a case and wireless charging.

My Seidio Surface case in blue w/kickstand showed up today. Wow! This things is very well made and is a significant increase in fit, finish & quality than my Otterbox Commuter case. The face edges aren't as tall so I can actually touch the edges of the screen now. Before I had a VERY difficult time getting side menus (Google Music Playlists seemed to be the worst) and now I don't have that issue. I also like the button cut-outs as I can cleanly get to my buttons now and before I had to press with the force fo god to activate the power or volume buttons with the Commuter case on. I also disliked the rubber port covers on the Commuter because they were more in the way than a help. In addition the VZW branded charges with the LED on them for seeing your plug port in the dark wouldn't fit with the Commuter case. No problems with this one. The surface feel is also better & it fits tighter so the overall size of the phone feels just a tad bit thinner and better in the hand. Also, the way it breaks in half to remove is super nice if you run spare batteries & such. For $21 shipped from Amazon this is a fantastic value and I HIGHLY recommend this case.

The $35 case at Best Buy doesn't have a kickstand. It costs $40 for the 'Platinum Series' with a kickstand!

Platinum Series Holster Case with Kickstand for Samsung Galaxy S 4 Mobile Phones Black PT-SGC63SB - Best Buy

EDITED: AFTER I POSTED I SEE THAT $40 CASE IS A "HOLSTER CASE" WITH KICKSTAND --- SO NOT AN "APPLES TO APPLES" COMPARISON.

Not exactly but the one I got for $21 shipped does have a kickstand. I don't see too many people rocking holsters for their phones these days but if that's a deal breaker you can get the Best Buy one or get the Seidio one w/the holster.

After about a month of using my SGS4 with the case, I'm still really liking it: i-BLASON Transformer Hard Shell Case Holster Combo For Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500 with Kickstand and Locking Belt Swivel Clip. It might be the cheapest good case with a kickstand, coming in at $7.49 shipped with Prime (or $25 order) on Amazon.

It doesn't add too much heft or bulk to the phone. The holster, which I rarely use, is pretty good and swivels 90 deg. in either direction. The kickstand's only downside is - and it might be due to the long screen - that when viewing in portrait mode, like when reading web pages, it's easy to knock over if you press too firmly. When in landscape mode, it isn't so top-heavy and won't be so easily knocked over.

Bobby, ive been wanting that case ever since it came out. I absolutely love that it snaps shut. Slide into ur pocket no problem.
I had the otterbox on my phone for a bit. Very bulky, but crazy protection for sure. Nice fit around the sensors. The screen protector is.. Eh.. Its does the job, but it's got areas where grime can get under it and i was always afraid of sliding dirt around and scratching up the screen. The clip is nice tho. It's diesel.
Right now I'm rocking the incipio dualpro and love it. Nice and slim with good protection.

An FYI regarding warranty service from Otterbox....

My Defender case inner shell was starting to 'squeak' in the lower left hand corner when held because a small gap developed between the two halves of the inner shell. I filled out the warranty claim this morning (this is at about 8AM PST Saturday morning), uploaded a couple of photos of the case and got a reply that I will hear back in 48 hours (business days). Then, 15 minutes later I get another e-mail saying they are FedEx-ing me a new case.

That's what I call service. Kudos to Otterbox.

They're a fantastic local (to me) company for sure.

Coming late to the party, but I bought the Spigen Slim Armor View about a month ago, and love it. It does feel very secure with the snap-shut front cover, and the phone (with battery cover fits right in, without having to change covers as is with the Samsung View cover. It's slim light, and comfortable to handle and is very attractive.

Only complaint is that the hinges holding on the front cover loosen up so it frequently flops all the way back, and I've had the hinges come out of the base several times -- it needs a more secure and less flimsy hinge. Also, I have not found a way to take photos with the front cover open all the way as the window distorts the lens. I wind up having to take photos while holding the front cover away from the lens. PIA.

But I still love the cover a lot more than the 5 others I threw in the closet because they weren't perfect. Just shop around for a good discount.

ETA: It's shiny smooth, not matte.

My Spigen Neo-Hybrid case broke a few days ago. The hard plastic frame just snapped in half at the thin sections where the USB plug goes. The phone was never dropped, and the case was in perfect shape, other than the break, of course.

I emailed Spigen, and sent them pictures of the broken case. I never even heard back! The case was originally bought directly from them (was def. not a knockoff), and they can't even write me back!!

I ended up replacing the case with an Incipio DualPro. I always used Incipio cases with past phones, and clearly shouldn't have switched to Spigen, with their Fragile materials and nonexistent customer support. Never again will I buy their overpriced garbage!!!

Exactly the same thing happened to me too with the Spigen Neo Hybrid, and reading reviews of the product the same breakage happens to a lot more people.
It's a lovely looking case but it's fragile and liable to snap, especially if you regularly take the phone in and out of the case.

I've been partial to the geeky leather holster style cases, but what I've seen on Amazon is usually cheap crap. First complaint from people is the stitching fails, and they're selling them for like $5. What kind of quality can you get for $5? The $20 cases don't seem any better. I like the way some of the Spigen cases look, but it seems you have to put them in your pocket.
