What are the odds

Verizon pre order of Note 3 said will deliver by Oct 12. What are the odds that it will be at my door on Oct 12th? Never pre order a phone before and heard some people say you get it earlier then date they say. Heard others say you get I later then that day.
Any information would help out..

I guess that would depend on some variables. I've done preorders before and some came a day earlier, some came as late as a week later. Of course, I'm talking about things other than devices and phones. First would be the origin of the shipment. How far away you are away from the postal drop sorting facility, standard or express delivery, etc.

Some places ship it earlier from the release date to do their best to get it in your hands by the release date. Others are contractually bound to not ship or release the product until the actual release date. So it's difficult to say as it would be based on the terms from the manufacturer.

Yeah, that was really bad of me...

I guess I should have said the ones that came a week late were generally outside my region (because it wasn't available where I'm at). The funny thing was some were able to ship it out a week before the release date.

All I been hearing from people was to pre order so you can get it before stores get it. I hope that I get it before Oct 12 though be a great surprise.
