Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] [ROM][4.4][BETA][UNOFFICIAL]Cyanogemod 11 for D2MTR

Hey Boys just doing a little playing with this new build of CM 11 and noticed it doesn't have the "ok google" or the google now all the way to the right. So I found one that runs on jellybean devices. I take no credit for its development, just that you may want to run it on hyperdrive ( such as myself) or add it to CM 11 and get even more Kit Kat fun. here's the link: [APP]Get Android 4.4 Launcher on your phone NOW!! - xda-developers. it was posted in xda first.

Follow the instructions below if you want to test out the Android 4.4 KitKat launcher on your phone. Just keep in mind this launcher was custom tailored for the Nexus 5, so there may be compatibility issues with certain devices. It seems to work best with Android 4.3 and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, but some devices running Android 4.1 may work. Proceed at your own risk!

Instructions:
1. Download this zip file, which consists of three APK files. [mirror]
2. Extract the zip and place the APKs on your phone
3. Install PrebuiltGmsCore.apk
4. Install Velvet.apk
5. Install GoogleHome.apk
6. Press home button, select the launcher and enjoy!

Get Nexus 5 Android 4.4 KitKat Launcher on Your Smartphone (Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Demo) - YouTube

If you get pa latest 4.4 gapps you gonna have full google experience and the launcher work flawlessly no issues

Well quechon, I posted it for those who wanted to wait for more cm features to be added. I mean I don't know any other way to download other then clicking the hyperlink and downloading the gapps. I have tried both versions listed of this build for our variant, but didn't get the "ok Google" feature or Google Now set all the way to the right. This was ported from the nexus five itself, allowing everyone from Touchwiz users as well as those who jump to 4.4 cm 11 beta, to experience 4.4's new launcher but I can take it down sorry to cloud space fellas.

Working good with PAGapps and Quechon's latest build. :) didn't have to install anything extra.

Thats weird i have any have that problem with any 4.4 build
Its almost like it changes to 4g lte network mode, because everytime i flashback to my backup i have to enter *#2263# to change it back.

i did everything corrrectly, infact most of it works smoothly. Its just the calling part. anyone else experiencing these problems?

PS info is:
phone model: i747M
carrier: Rogers
device type : d2mtr
android version before flash: 4.1.2
Baseband I747mvldmf1
kernel 3.0.83-lean kernel

Don't worry I know what I'm doing.
This was a bell phone. And it is a d2mtr device.
Can anyone else execute other mms comands?

Edit sorry for the double post my phone stoped loading the page
Is there anyway to make the default network to automatic on the build? It dosnt sound too farfetched.

again. im assuring you bell is a gsm carrier in canada, this is a metropcs cdma device in america. the galaxy s3 roms are close enough that yes they will boot.
I asure you this is a d2mtr device, if roms worked for one carrier there would be alot less roms for everyone .
besides the new cwm does not let you flash anything that is not your device type.

the fact that i can use lte networks and recieve, send text messages tells me this is a network mode error.

most 4g lte networks are broken, both in the us and canada. if you can change the default network from lte to automatic this would solve my problem. since i seem unable to do so.

what points me towards this is the fact that i have to change it back whenever i flash this.

Okay i got calls to work but i cant seem to get the MMI code to work still.

for those who may encounter this prob;em this is how i solved it:
go to settings. under the wireless & networks go to more>mobile networks>network mode
set to 3g

edit, no 4g mode?
and no other MMI codes work. anyone else having this trouble? some MMI codes to try:
Standard USSD GSM code for IMEI:
*#06# Shows IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number

Others that are specific to S3:

*#0*# LCD Test Menu
Dial the secret code *#0*#. Now you get a screen with title LCD TEST. You have lots of option to test various hardware parts of your phone such as speaker, sensor, lcd, etc

*#8999*523# LCD Brightness

*#1234# To check Software and Hardware information, PDA, CSC, MODEM (Firmware Version)

*#2222# H/W Version

*#*#4636#*#* user statistics and Phone Info

*#0011# Displays status information for the GSM

*#7780# Factory Reset
*2767*3855# Full factory reset (Don

please pull the battery out of your device and post the model number, checking settings will just show whats in the roms build.prop.if the sticker on the back does not say SCH-R530M, then you do not have a MetroPCS Samsung Galaxy S 3 (d2mtr). d2 is the device name given by samsung, mtr is the carrier code for metro. d2spr is for sprint etc etc. the SGS4 is the jflte family and continues on the tradition (hlte for note 3).

the reason there is carrier specific roms is due to apn's and various model differences, like for instance crickets S3 uses a different camera sensor and thus requires a different kernel. the d2mtr can use any d2usc or d2vzw kernel without issue. you are correct in that clockworkmod wont let you flash the wrong rom, unless you flash the wrong clockworkmod.

the metropcs SGS3 is not capable of running on GSM networks, it is locked to Metropcs cdma network in america.
