Root Return to Stock ZVD Super Easy

Ahh... test mode can stick it to you sometimes.

As long as they don't find clockworkmod recovery and root on your device, you'll be fine... Otherwise they'll flag your account in their system so that you can't get warranty in any Metro store.

it's all good. thanks to this Thread!!! I was just able to return for my warranty.
they charged me $15 and I got a refurbed unit (doesn't look physically used at all, but has 240 hours talk time)

my old unit was having memory issues. first two weeks ago I lost my contacts and call logs. yesterday I lost my MIN/phone number settings so I had no calls or texts. After reprogramming via ##626* it wouldn't store the new info. every reboot it would be blank.

well at least I now have a working one. Was hoping for a brand new one, but w/e now I can flash and tweak this one. And hope it doesn't have hardware issues.

Firstly, thanks GameTheory for making this guide! I am wanting to revert my phone back to stock, then unroot it.

I am on ZVD, with CWM touch. Now, with the stock backup that was provided in the first post. Everything went well with the flash, stellar actually.

Now, I am at the point of installing the stock recovery, I chose option 5... as the script was going through its steps, I noticed it appeared to be trying to restart my phone numerous times but the device only restarted twice. Now this might not make a lot of sense, so I saved the log - also I noticed (to my knowledge) that it seems like nothing was written to the phone, because of Read-only file system errors?

Idk... maybe you guys can make sense of the log, I'm not trying to continue to option #4 until I hear from someone with more experience in this department!

UPDATE :
I hadn't heard anything, so.. I finally got up the nerve to try rebooting to recovery from titanium backup, just to see what would happen... and it booted into CWM touch...

I've never attempted to unroot before, and I'm super lost now.

Ok I followed ur directions and everything seemed to go great but when I went into "About Phone" and checked the "SW Version" it still says "MS910ZVE" ... Am I missing a step here or something?

Anyone? Just looking for a easy way to downgrade because the downgrade tutorial sticky wit screenshots is TERRIBLE! The directions are very difficult to follow since it was made a LONG time ago and all the software versions are different now so nothings the same
