Juice Defender, Battery Issue

I'm not sure what is causing my problem. I installed JD Free in hopes it would solve the problem but have had mixed results.

I have a Samsung S3 SGH-1747 running stock rom on Tmobile. I've had it for about six months purchased used. I noticed this problem from day one.

I am a light user, seldom on the internet, half a dozen calls a day, the occasional text and no social media. I might play a game for 10 minutes twice a month. If I go online, it's to do a search or map direction.

My standby battery power varies considerably from day to day. I might go a few days where by nightfall the standby power is at 80%. Other days the battery can be exhausted after in six hours.

I have power saving enabled and Wi-Fi disabled. I can't see any unusual activity when reviewing the JD log.
Example -

13:54 Screen off
13:54 Data disabled
13:54 Disconnected
14:18 Schedule start
14:18 Data enabled
14:18 Connected: mobile
14:18 AutoSync ping
14:19 Schedule stop
14:20 Data disabled
14:20 Disconnected
14:48 Schedule start
14:48 Data enabled
14:48 Connected: mobile
14:48 AutoSync ping
14:49 Schedule stop

The schedule is consistent whether I'm getting 6 hours or 48 hours of battery power.

Thanks for any positive advice.

I'll give wake lock detector a try and hope it finds something. As far as turning off the location services, I don't see that option in Google Play settings.

It's not in the Google Play settings. Go into the System Settings and look for the Location Services section and then enter into it. Then make sure none of the check boxes that you find in this section are ticked.

If you uncheck all the boxes under settings>location none of your apps will be able to use GPS. You might want to leave that option on or configure it manually when you need it (via a widget).

Within the Google settings app go to location & ensue that location reporting & location history are off.

I've been using DS battery saver for several months and seems to do a decent job,

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rootuninstaller.batrsaver

and as I can be forgetful it helps prevent me leaving battery draining options on.

Also a quick and easy tip if some strange behaviour starts is to shut down the device and remove the battery for minute, then replace and boot up.This can clear locked apps etc.

HTH :)

Three days ago the S3 lasted for 48 hrs and but yesterday it started draining in 6 hrs. WLD identifies 2 high users. I deleted Juice Defender and installed DS Battery Saver, set it to slumber which places the phone in a deep sleep when the screen is off and popped it back on the charger.
6 hrs latter the battery is down to 20%. WLD identifies two high users, Android Systems/AlarmManager @ 8m59s x 347 and Phone/RILJ @ 5m29s x 552. Awake is 2% and statistics since 9hr23m.
Is the time listed after the wakelock a total of each or is it based on the number of times it activates and why even after running DS Battery Saver on slumber is the battery draining?
