Lock screen notifications question

HI
So I have NiLS doing its thing with notifications, BUT,when i turn on my screen I'm still faced with a clock on the top portion of the screen and the pattern lock on the bottom. I'd like to be able to quickly flick screen on, see notifications with no interaction, then turn off screen, instead of swiping down on the clock.
Is this possible?
Cheers,
DDD.

If you are rooted, yes.
You can install the XPosed Framework, and get the Gravitybox module to do what you referred to (and much more). Read more here
Custom ROMs also offer this functionality, but I haven't had the need for one since I installed the Xposed Framework,

If you are not rooted, I don't think it is possible yet.
