Root Power down problem

Thanks BSydz for the info and encouragement. I guess the re store did it. I still have GOOGLE on screen at power on for a few seconds then Motorola logo and power up. The phone powers down now and everything seems to be working. I found the Sharp ROM thread and may give it a try later. I told myself if I ever got this phone back to working I wasn't going to screw around anymore. lol Is it OK to delete the froyocream from my sd card?

If you could direct me to the proper ROM I would appreciate it. One that is actually working. I think I got the hang of this. I have tried to find the Sharp ROM but not having much luck. Can you give me a clue? I was told to grab the stock ROM from my signature, but I don't know what that means or how to do it.

In dsmryders signature, signature only shows on the first post by that person per page, you will see links. You need to find MTDEV-stock.zip, it is on the MTDEV site. You have google splash now because of the ROM you flashed. The only way for you to fix the issue is to either flash stock ROM or my hidden partition zip in recovery. That is why I said to stay away from older ROMs as some of them change stuff but don't have a way to get back. Once you do that the only way to get back is the stock ROM.

The Triumph has a way of making you a flashaholic. You will flash every ROM available and you will learn a lot along the way. It is very hard to brick this phone so don't worry too much.

If you really want to learn about the phone and find all of my ROMs then just click on my name and then select statistics in my profile and click threads started by me. You will find everything that you need. As of right now, you have about 5 solid choices, Sharp, U9000, MTDEV CM7, PA, and CM9.

You can delete any ROM from your SD, but always keep Stock ROM there just in case. You can not get support from VM if you are not on stock and you can not activate the phone if not on stock. Feel free to flash any ROM you like, but remember everything that was said here. And follow directions provided for the ROM.

Good luck.
