Official "I JUST ORDERED THE NEXUS 5!!!" Thread

Hello everyone!

Sold my iPhone 5s 32gig for a handsome credit from a electronics recycle machine. I purchased the Nexus 5 from LG. Must say I love this phone! So far this has lived up to my expectations in most ways except for a little concern about the rear camera quality, not a major issue for me but a slight concern. Everything else is working like a charm.

Had no concerns about moving away from the "walled" garden as most of my apps were already in the Google Play store, Apple really kind of messed me up with my music though converting everything to MP4.. Still getting over that. I am on the half and half about Google's picture backup. I tried to use Picasa on the web and that was hard to manage. I don't have the ability to use this because they don't have a version yet for Linux. Using dropbox for right now.. My goal is to use all Google products just to learn and experience other software solutions away from the garden.

PS: Chromcast is way cool too!

Try out MightyText when you get a chance. You can tell it to sync with a folder on your home computer.

Ordered a Red 32GB within 30 minutes of the release, but the order is still pending.

If you mean you haven't received the shipping info (it can sometimes say pending even after being shipped), contact them (the number on the email you received confirming the order) and see if they have any explanation. If there is a glitch in their system, they can probably find it and correct it.

You mean they didn't just throw the box on the porch, visible from the street like they did mine?

No. My front door is even behind a brick fence where it would not have been visible from the street :(

Not sure how I would have felt if they'd left the package at the door; equal parts happy to have my new phone but also concerned that they left $900 worth of phones out for however many hours until I got home (ordered two, one for me one for wifey).
