Predictive Text---Auto Correct

I like the idea of predictive text making it quicker to type email, searches, etc, however....

I find that the keyboard will auto correct certain words that I do not want corrected, as if they don't recognize them as words. It drives me nuts, and the only way to get something to work is not type with spaces. Is the fix as simple as disabling the auto replacement option?

Are you saving those words you don't want corrected to your dictionary? If so, it shouldn't auto correct them.

Obviously the word I typed in isn't a word. Just tap on the word and it'll ask you if you want to save it to your dictionary. I'm using Swype keyboard.

Turn off auto correct! That was actually my biggest complaint about friends that would text me from iPhones. The auto correct always sucked and they'd have no clue, until I texted them back that their message didn't make sense...LOL.

I turn off auto-correct and just rely on the predictive text to pop-up suggestions on the tabs above the keyboard. It's much faster for me, and also allows the dictionary to start remembering short-hand texting like "ur" or "i c" or "brb", to save characters.

One thing I can say for sure is that Swiftkey is still so much better than Samsung's stock software, at predictive text. Because of the special pop-up I found, to enable s-pen writing when I want, I decided to go back to full time use of Swiftkey keyboard. With the ability to create a 1-handed setup on Swiftkey, there wasn't much reason to stick with Samsung's OEM.
