AT&T Note 3 users - Kit Kat is out now

Thanks, that worked like a charm. Download is running now.

I hadn't thought about that, sometimes the simplest things come back to haunt us!

Also, I was able to go back and reset immediately the device to update the time via the 'Network' and it now has my normal time.

Still downloading now and at 25%.

OK, so the update has completed and I don't detect any anomalies related to performance and behavior.

If anything happens, I'll be sure to report it.

I've seen one report on XDA that if you put SuperSU in survival mode you'll retain root. But that's one report. With all the differences in how the update sorks or doesn't, I wouldn't take that as Gospel.

You people keep playing with the update. But until Kingo or someone else comes out with a root for 4.4.2 (or preferably 4.4.3) and Safestrap for it, I'll stay with 4.3.

The only reason I can see for upgrading (I knew hoe much RAM it had when I bought it) is the GPS problem, and I only lose lock in one spot - as I leave the development - but I get it back in a block or two, so it's not a big issue for me. Being rooted and being able to try different ROM arrangements easily are.

I have a AT&T note 3 and I was on a friend's family plan. Supposedly they said the bill was $1200 for a month so he didn't pay the bill. This phone is paid off and I had the phone unlocked. I went to to the update and it downloaded and when it restarted it said the update failed and I'm still on the same 4.3 software. Am I screwed on getting kitkat now?

1. Supposedly? He could not get it corrected?

2. You might be able to get it via.. Kies

3. Root it.. Get other kit Kat flavored ROMs

Got mine last night so haven't had much time to check it out. For me, I hope it fixes WiFi issues. Lets all report back here as the day goes on to any noticeable differences - good or bad. I did get the much desired update to S Note. I had vs 1.0 before the update and now have 3.1. What happened to all the stuff in between? Glad I have it though because it was the source of much discussion recently. Stay tuned....

4.4.3 was rumored to be the fix for the camera eating the battery under certain conditions. If it was fixed in 4.4.2 there won't be a 4.4.3 (at least not for that fix). If not, we'll have another update one of these days. (The only thing that seemed to trigger it was Skype, and Skype came out with a fix, so it's probably not an issue any more anyway - so AT&T might not waste time "fixing" it.)
