Hello, I have been preparing to RUU back to 4.03.605.2 and want to be sure of process. I read REV3NT3CH's post on downgrading over at xda, so I downloaded the latest 2 PH89IMGs via his instructions and here's where I stand:

Radio 2.23.10.0123r/1.23.10.0124r
also running CleanRom 4.5
Can I just place PH89IMG on sdcard to RUU or am I missing a step? Thank you in advance
FYI, here's an answer from Uzephi via xda: Only lock if an ruu exe iirc, a zip you can be unlocked.
you can simply install from the sd card. however,id caution you about installing just the hboot and radios,the mismatch of firmware will likely give you diminished performance.
if you want to be on the most current radios,i personally would run the full ruu for 3.14.605.12. from this build you can allow the phone to OTA to the current firmware.
at that point,you can reinstall a recovery and add superuser,or flash your rom of choice. it would not hurt to perform a factory reset from hboot after running the initial ruu,while a stock recovery is in place,as the stock recovery is able to clean parts of the phone that a custom recovery cannot. this does wonders for fixing flaky data and other small issues that have arisen from the s off process,and from bouncing around in different firmware.

one last word,dont run the leaked global ruu(4.03.605.2). its not a release build,and the phone will not OTA from it.

to answer your other question,once youre s off,you dont need to relock,period. you can run a .exe or install a PH98IMG while
unlocked.
