Root [MetroPCS] No 'middle ground' phone available at all??

I'm enjoying owning the F6, but have occasionally gone back to the MPCS site to check out what has been dropped/added to their lineup. There is a pretty good-sized gap (in my area at least) going from the F3/F6/Huawei Vitria to the next LTE phone. Current price for the F3 or Vitria is $99 (after all offers) and goes to the GS4/Mega for $499. Is there anything available that I can buy brand-new that I don't have to take out a 401K loan for?? I'm thinking something in the $150-250 range. Something that can be rooted/bootloader unlocked/etc? Or is it just a pipe dream? Thanks for any advice.

Hus, thanks for the suggestion. According to what I've read about it, the battery isn't user-replaceable, and there is no micro SD slot. Not huge deal-breakers for some, but they are for me.

The $220 (4G LTE) model does have microSD slot.

Hey DealerMan could you drop back in on this board and let us know how you like it if you buy a new phone? Just cracked my screen and not happy with the lack of development on the F6 so I may be looking to change phones! Thanks!

Will do. It won't be right away, but if and when I do I'll be back to report. I still don't like the idea of being unable to remove the battery though (I lost count removing/reinstalling it on my old Admire & F6 when I was tinkering with them).
