Hi, im a noob in here and have scanned the forum for my tab and didnt find anything, surrisingly, so forgive me if its been asked and answered.

:thinking:I have a genuine Samsung 32gb sd card and my tab used to read and write to it, although I guess I dont fully understand the functionality, but ill keep searching on that topic. For about a month, my tab wont read or write to the card. I read in a forum on my app, File Expert, that theres a kit kat version thats affecting the sd cards, with those exact issues. How do I know if im having the same issue and download the patch. I thought I had jelly bean. I believe I need to tell you my tab is not rooted. Im too afraid to do that and havent really found a reason to do so.

When I open my Gallery, I see the folders written to the card, but the pics all have little silhouettes of a person with a split through them. How can I get my tab to read and write to my card again?

1st. check the version of Android you are using(go settings>device and scroll down to android version) To the best of my knowledge the P51XX will not get Kitkat. 4.2.2 JellyBean is the "best" that you would get OTA.
2nd. shut down the tab remove the sd card, start the tab, shut down again, re-insert the sd card THEN start the tab again. The tab should pick up the sd card and read/write

Im running 4.2.2. When I try to save pics to my sd card, they take, but then theres the silhouette with a squiggly line through it. When I try to move music to kt, it says "file operation error". Samsung fixed so I can now see my card, but not through File Expert. They actually told me I need to do a restore <sigh>
