I do have a question though, before I flashed this, I made a titanium backup of my data. Is there any way to restore my text message history using my backup, or no? Thanks again for your help and your excellent rom.

Next time when you get text messages make sure you download SMS backup and restore from the play store to make backups for your text messages

Sorry if I missed this, but is it possible to passcode the phone in any way? I'm having trouble putting a pattern lock like I did before installing this ROM. Finally had time to try this out, and it appears to work well for me.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately no unless you install a lock screen app. I downloaded smart from play about a month ago and it gave me options to enable pass lock and such. Unfortunately any time I pressed the center button to turn on the phone, it bypassed the lock screen. I would suggest another app. Let me know what works best for you.

Tried a few, and settled on this one:

It can lock the phone down when idle. This app has an extra feature to lock down apps and open them without unlocking the phone; that requires liking and sharing the app's facebook page. That could be useful for some apps (like banking online). I'm fine for now with having the ability to protect the phone with a passcode.

After opening the lock screen, the user dials in a recorded code. When that's correctly entered, the top indicator says unlocked, then the phone (or app) is ready to use after a second.

And just as quickly I might have to find another pass code replacement. Why? I just noticed that Combination Lock breaks a lot of the Home key's functionality.

The multitasker comes up when needed (after holding Home for a few seconds), but I can't back out to the Home screen from any app using that key. To back out to Home, the Back key has to be pressed a few times with this app.

I'll have to look for something else... but this is the best pass code alternative I've used so far for Psycho Billy.

I also had problems with the built in clock for alarms. This is what I used on it:

For now, I made a nandroid of my installation of Psycho Billy. Decided to return to stock V6 with gherkaul's awesome purple haze theme (which I also used on PB). Some important apps weren't working for me under PB, including WPS Office, and white pages.

Just donated a few bucks to you through PayPal, x. Still hope to see an improved CM port from you sometime!

I haven't tried it but it should work. Just so you know, its a v5 rom.

So just to confirm nothing's been happening with the CM10 thoughts, and no updates to the ROM right? Time to get rid of the F3 lol.

Edit: Noticed v7 rom talk and testing, waiting to see how that plays out.

Yesterday, out of nowhere, the system update bug returned despite me deploying all the "fixes" suggested in these fine fora; anyone else seeing this and, long shot, have a fix?

I'm sure there's a way but I can't think of any at the moment.

It's for the older software version v5 and the update notification can't be turned off. It still works great though.

We need more roms for this phone. Some that support the newer Zv7 update. This is after all a themed stock rom.

I Don't own this phone but a way i did to get that out of the way is by installing FOTAKill.apk into /system/app. i am not sure if it works on the new version but it never hurt to try. I have attached the file, Copy it to /system/app, Then reboot.

So after some time of this rom being stable, it has come to a time when I need to get into CMR, and now I cant get into any kind of recovery. I cant get into factory reset boot either or download mode. I get:
"Secure booting Error!
Cause : Device UnLock!, so Boot Success!!"

Any ideas?

That is a normal thing to see once you are rooted and gotta custom recovery.. Wierd u cant axcess any of modes or recovery. Id suggest to follow unbrick guide. But just fyi you will always see that error at boot.

I was getting this awhile back because I was rebooting into CMR via the ROM--i.e. from the power menu--rather than using the power+volume down key dance; perhaps, try that & see?

You will need to wait until i get home from work to reset the server
