Root TowelRoot Text

I rooted my buddies Metro LG L70 with TowelRoot a month ago. He loves it. I installed Supersu and the free Titanium Backup and removed the bloat. I also installed an app so he could write to his SD card. He has had no problems with it.

He tells me that he got a text from "Google" today telling him to Uninstall TowelRoot. Very strange. I have not seen it yet and I am sure he is confused.

I told him to go ahead and Uninstall the app since he won't lose root. I just forgot to do it after it rooted the phone.

I searched but can't find anything about this. Anybody else seen this text?

Edit

It wasn't a text, but a notification. Said it could make his system unstable. No problems with his phone though

Yep, my phone did the same thing last night and today. I did a restore from back up last night but it did it again this morning. My google (everything google on my phone) is broken. Im not sure if it is google or something else. Gonna get screen shots the next time it does it. Anybody else having this issue? It puts 3-4 little white triangles in the notification bar and says something to do with google apps and I also get the Inconsistent System UID error....dude this aint cool.

Inconsistent SUID is when something in the 3rd party apps has changed, It can be fixed by fixing permissions. This can be done in the performance control app or ROM toolbox.

For all who are getting the notifications its because you simply blindly accepted a popup "verify apps", disable it in google settings>verify apps.

Plus you should've uninstalled towelroot immediately anyways, since after root its instantly useless.

Tried to use TB to integrate updates into rom and got 'system uids are inconsistent. Etc.' and gives you one option "I'm feeling lucky". I found it amusing but it totally screwed my googleframework.

I think you did the right thing. Can't say that I've seen that message before, but it sounds like it might be due to "Verify apps" being checked in Settings > Security.

I haven't gotten this message either although I have gone through the problems with the "System UIDs are inconsistent" Did the whole reinstall thing with the tot files.
I did uninstall TowelRoot shortly after rooting because there is no reason to keep it. My biggest question is how can we get around Google's stranglehold on our phones, I'd like nothing better than to finally rid myself of Google's crap.

Any suggestions?
