Whats a verygood android launcher that doesnt drain battery or slows down the phone?

Hello guys, this is m first post, forgive me if this is in the wrong section.
My question is,

1. Whats a good android launcher that doesnt drain too much battery and doesnt slow down the phone?

2. Whats a good battery saver app

I use an Acer Liquid E700, a midrange specs phone, it has a 3500mah but still the battery drains fast, and Im using battery doctor app right now with Super Saver mode but battery still drains fast

Hi there codesplice!
For a launcher, Im looking for something thats easy to use,convenient, and doesnt slow down the phone (actually Im not sure if using Android launchers does slow down the phone and drain the battery faster?).

And regarding the battery app, well, Im looking for something that can help me detect apps that are running that can be terminated when not in use to save battery life, is there such a thing?
For my daily usage, well, I like to watch movies (2 hour movies for example), listen to music by connecting my phone to my car and plays it while im inside the car, gaming I guess, light games.
Im just confused, coz I thought a 3500mah battery would be enough , but when I do those activities I mentioned above, the percentage seems to go down fast, is that normal to all phones, even with big batterys?

I use Nova Prime Launcher. They have a free version you can try. I don't have any battery issues with it.

I don't know how an app can tell whether or not another running a app can be terminated. If it's running, maybe it's doing something important or it's the app you are using. You wouldn't want your app you are using to suddenly close.

If you are talking about a task killer, they are available and they are not recommended. The reason is that they tend to conflict with how Android manages system resources. Android loads apps into memory that it thinks you are most likely to use in the future. That way, when you launch them, they start faster if they are already loaded into memory. If you use a task killer, what happens is the task killer stops the app then Android will load it in again. This cycle can keep going causing your battery to drain faster.

My phone will typically last about 5 hours with the screen continuously on before it runs out of batteries. If I'm using a mapping app when driving, it lasts half that. I usually drive with my mapping app on and streaming music via BT audio. For long drives, I use a car charger.

Greenify will tell you which apps you can hibernate without causing issues. To find which apps are draining your battery you need to establish if any background tasks are preventing the phone from sleeping. Try Wakelock Detector.

The secret to battery life isn't to use some app which tries to control what is running (often conflicting with the OS and wasting power) but to find out what is draining the power and address any inefficiencies that are identified. So my advice would be to install a monitor like GSam Battery Monitor, run through a cycle of your normal usage, then see what the big power drains are (which apps, whether the device is being held awake).

Your battery is bigger than most, but gaming is particularly draining for batteries (playing music over a wired connection shouldn't be too bad, movies mean a couple of hours screen on so you'll chew through a fair amount of power that way). You don't say what you mean by draining "fast", but with the usage you describe turning the screen brightness down may be the most effective power saver.

1. Nova prime. But despite how light a launcher is, how much it slows down the phone is a factor of how you set it up.

2. Battery saver apps mostly work by turning the screen brightness down at certain times, turning off autosync except at set intervals, as well as controlling data so it won't go wild. Controlling what apps are running in the background through an app will actually make the phone eat battery faster. Battery saver apps try to disable as much as possible during phone idle time. The idea is to give the phone bigger idle time, but still keep it running at max capability when being used.

Thanks for the tip, but if I greenify my Viber, and Im online, does that mean I cant receive calls from another viber caller?
Also my greeify states something like "Auto Hibernate not enabled"? why?

Also when I install Wakelock, this message shows " Access permission was changed in KitKat, NOW advanced statitics need root access =( - Does this mean I have to root my device first before I can use wakelock???

I tried GSam Battery monitor but it always says CALCULATING in the Time Remaining section (beside the battery drawing) and AVERAGES PER COMPLETE CHARGE section it also says calculating, like forever, is this stuff broken????

Give it time. An average won't mean anything until it's had some usage anyway. Though that said I've never seen either symptom (those items are not the reason I'd use it though).

Yes you're right I gave it time and it showed. Anyway just another question regarding GSam, what does "Phone Radio mean"? it says "Phone Radio =3:04:59 = 82%? It shows 82% but I dont know what it means, is this draining my battery?

I don't use any battery extender apps. I instead bought an extended battery for my SGS3.

I do use a battery widget called Battery Widget Reborn. This app/widget does give you an estimate of the amount of battery life you have remaining. I tried a few "battery saving" apps, but they just ended up making my phones performance degrade.

If your gonna spend 2 hours watching videos, and play games along with all the normal use, it... Texting phonecalls, Internet, and the like then you're gonna see a large battery drain.

Im going to have to agree with you. Its just that, with a 3500mah, I was expecting my battery to last longer even when watching movies, listening to mp3 with headphones, or gaming. But I guess thats how just battery drainswork nowadays,even with a large battery

The phone radio is what keeps u connected to ur service provider for network and phone calls
