Transfer pictures from gallery to SD card on note 8

Just in case no one's answered your question... I don't have my Galaxy Tab 4 handy, but I do know the standard camera app has a setting that allows me to set storage to the external SD card. My Tab 4 is also running on KitKat 4.4.2., last updated sometime late in August.
If the photos come from other apps besides the camera (like downloads from a web browser), you'll have to adjust the download location using the apps that downloaded the photos.

I just have whatever comes with the tablet. The pictures were all taken with the built-in camera and stored in the provided 'gallery'. There is no choice as to storage that I can find.
