Well what do you want it to do?
I use Nova, sometimes Apex (they are very similar, so no real reason to have both). But what I'd suggest is you just try some and see what works for you. Most have at least a free version.
But if there's any particular feature interests you let us know and someone may be able to suggest a candidate.

I'd suggest jumping on youtube and searching for "Best Android Launcher 2014"
There are several videos of people reviewing them and showing some of the basic layout and functionality. I myself am also shopping for a new launcher, and watched 3 of the videos this morning.
Nova seems to score high marks on everyone's lists.

Nova is the best IMO, Solo launcher is also a good one.
I recommend that you stay away from GO Launcher.

Oh man...what a let down. I was just getting used to Nova Launcher too.
It seems that Nova won't let you tack action memos to the homescreen the way Touchwiz does. The TACK icon isn't even present on the action memo taskbar.
EDIT:
Interesting thing I've just discovered. If you launch Nova from Touchwiz (and keep TW as the default) your action memo will have the TACK option still there. But when you try to tack the action memo to the desktop, you're automatically returned to TW as your launcher.
So that TACK option is somehow hardwired to be a TW thing I guess?

But it's part of the trade off, i guess. Touch wiz has some features that can't be used
It's slow and they have ads everywhere.
I have used go on a couple of devices and it always had some kind of issue.
Freezes, force closes etc......

Their are thousands of icon packs available for Nova so have fun finding the "perfect" one lol......
I have been stuck on Moonshine for a while. They have a great material design.
