Root [Virgin Mobile] cm12/cm12.1 questions

You clearly don't know the dev then you're bitching over a md5 not a good sign because I bet zedomaxs ROMs blow away the rest official sources used why does it have to be XDA or cm official website that people have to download from. What's wrong with galaxys3root nothing.

The point is an official build should match the official md5 or it's not official. It's been modified in some way.

I won't install any unofficial Roms period. And official Roms only from the official site. Way too much personal information on my phone to risk some guy in his mom's basement to get ahold of. But to each there own. I'm just glad there is finally an official CM12 to play with. I've been waiting for this.

I was saying if you're going to download an official build, you should get it from official sources. If that source had an unofficial build of their own then download it from them. Why download an official build from an unofficial source? Especially if their file doesn't even match their own md5. It just points toward either something being fishy, or just sloppy file posting. Either one not good signs. I do a lot of personal things on my phone. Anyone can publish anything they want on their own site, without anyone checking up on them. I only mention XDA because they have rules, and user testimonials to instill confidence in what you're getting. It was just an example.
Why would you download official work from an unofficial source?
I'm not a kid and I've been at this a long time. Your posting links for ppl without proper info. Post all the links you like, really, just maybe throw in something like " this is not the official source, but it claims to be official build. Check it out" or something like that. There are a lot of new users here who don't know the difference, keep that in mind.

Glad to run across this thread right on first page, I've been avoiding the forums since they were "improved", dreading all the junk I don't care about and will have to wade through now.

I tried 12.1 5/18 nightly, installed as described works great. Regarding

It does! There is a thread for it. Its in alpha. Only installable through a zip. And a different xposed app just for lollipop.

Does not work on cm12.1 (android 5.1) there is another one for that, different thread. Same Dev though.
Rovo89 (xposed framework creator)

thought I'd add I tried xposed for 5.1 it does at least install, but xprivacy doesn't really work on lolipop yet, which is about the only module I care about.

There is an xprivacy version that can be installed however
