Root [STATUS UPDATE 6/6/15, See OP] BUTTERNOOB Stock 4.4.4 v2

I think my first request would be to incorporate a wifi hotspot fix, like you find in other roms. :). From there I don't know besides a custom UI, custom lockscreens, and etc. Slimkat was always one of my favorite roms on my samsung phones. Very minimalistic, nice resolution, wifi hotspot fix, and tons of tweaks. Maybe look at Slim, and Cyangenmod..make your own mashup :) Our phone is already badass, you cant really mess it up any! ;)

I'll look into all that :)

First attempt on flashing 4.4.4 V2 failed, trying again...........
second attempt failed also...................
I tried flashing 4.4.2 V1 Successful. Any idea's?

Did you follow the new instructions for flashing?

1. Boot Into TWRP
2. Manually wipe as instructed
3. REBOOT RECOVERY (via recovery, don't install superuser).
4. Flash

See if this helps!

the md5 file was missing from the zip file......
it hung up after it said...md5 file not found....continuing installation......
but it stayed there doing nothing till I forced it into recovery..
flashed my backup....back to where I started...
typing this from my phone...very relieved....
I'll try downloading it again...then try the installation again.....

I like this ROM a lot.. Can I DL xposed or flash it?.. Thank You..

You can install Xposed but in order for the files to install you have to flash the boot.img in this rom to your recovery partition and "reboot recovery" so that it reboots into the system with R/W permissions

Can you explain why you removed the Dolby digital plus app from the ROM?

Actually didn't know I did tbh, must have been built into one of ZTE's apps because I tried to leave apps that had embedded connections in the ROM.

That is supposed to happen, there is no updater script text in this rom. It takes a while to flash, sometimes it has flashed for me quickly, sometimes it takes 3-5 minutes, it's random but I promise you, speaking as someone with well over 50+ hours of testing dedicated to this, it will finish installing and say "successful" as long as you follow the flashing rules I outlined in the thread.

Thanks for your hard work bruh. Just a question, is it possible to get full OTG support?

I actually don't know, I could ask one of the devs, but I believe (emphasis on that word) that OTG is kernel related, not rom related, and the bootloader is very finicky about modified boot.imgs. Any modification that remotely grants system r/w access results in immediate non-boot (speaking from experience). That code could potentially have that effect indirectly. Like I said, I'll look into it tho

EDIT: Tried this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1802740

Google play music and the music is on my SD card where it's always been... System does no music even try to change the ring tone to a don't from my music.. Both work fine on stock.

Might wanna do a fresh install. Like I said, I drug the music to my external SD Card with Google Play Music open and I watched it update to reflect the music I added instantly, no delay.
