Locked out of es file explorer

I installed a password in es file explorer. It didn't allow you to verify the password. Obviously I put it in wrong so I can't get in. If I uninstall the app will I lose all the data I have ran through there? OR, is there another way I can get in??? I want to get EVERYTHING I can on my external sd card because this phone is a piece of crap and T Mobile is going to send me a new one, but as you know, I have to dsend this one back first. Then I'm selling the new one. I'm getting a great deal on a droid maxx!!!! Is there anything I should know about this new d maxx??? I don't want to screw up and just have a door stop. ANY and ALL ideas and help is most definitly appreciated!!!!!!!!@ THANKS ahead of time!!!!

Install Total Commander. It'll do the same thing ES File Explorer will do. The files you want to move aren't "in" ES File Explorer, it just shows you the files, and Total Commander will do the same thing with those same files.

Anything you put on your external card with ES is on your external card.

About the only problem you may experience is if the password you put in was to password protect the external SD card. Then you'll have to format the card and copy all the files back to the external card again (from wherever they are).

In the future, make it a practice to back up the entire phone at least once a week (if not all the new stuff every night). Then you'll never have to move much if you have to change phones, or the phone gets lost or stolen (or destroyed).
