I am sorry for the victims, but ISIS did the world a favor in Paris by waking everyone up, that there is no safety with them on the planet.
We owe France a serious apology for allowing ISIS to become as powerful as they were.
Regardless of whether or not it was right to enter Iraq to begin with(I think Bush made the correct decision with the information available to him, which turned out to be largely erroneous), it was absolutely obvious we should NOT have left when we did. We created a huge power vacuum which allowed ISIS to sweep in and acquire power and wealth(they're now a multi-billion dollar organization). That money is going to allow them to do a lot more of this stuff in the future.
Here's hoping that our next POTUS understands the need to act and to project power in the region. I don't trust Russia. We can't rely on them to sweep ISIS off the face of the earth, if only because of what I fear they'll turn the region into. Russia's never left anywhere better than they found it.

Also in retrospect.. I bet Pres Bush's "weapons of mass destruction" were a simple matter of Perspective.. They (Iraqi Intelligence) may think killing a cpl hundred ppl is considered "W.O.M.D." ..whereas we have Nukes & stuff. NOW THO: Obama gave them nuke mfgr capabilities and we get to sit tight with our asses grabbing our seats KNOWING that those will fall into wrong hands. Soon we will see a recreation of the "Mahabharata" (older scripts of their warlike behaviors that predate the friggin Bible and ended with our equivalent of scud missiles & nukes)!!

I said this in another forum, but it was taken down. Let's bring back a slogan from my time, the Vietnam War. We can't tell the good guys from the bad guys, so kill them all...and let God sort them out!!! I hope the "PC Police" have learned a lesson over this. People can still be decent to one another, without having to worry about Spotted Owls and their habitats. This PC bull is how it all started. We don't want to offend you, so we'll let you come in to our country, illegally, and kill us for YOUR beliefs. Every group of people that came in to America had it rough, and were picked on, for being "different". It was no different for my people, the Irish, as it was for the Jews, the Italians, the Poles, the Germans, etc. America is a "melting pot", and that's what makes this country great. None of those people tried to force their will on the rest of America, so why are we allowing some neighborhoods to practice Sharia Law? Why are we allowing Chinese immigrants to take the N.Y.State Drivers Test, in the Chinese language? Why are we becoming PC, to the point of idiocy? It makes me sick to my stomach, when i think that i fought and bled for my country, and this is how it's changed.

having other languages for drivers license is a great way to help others survive in this country... the melting pot. as they try to learn our ways.
if they can not get around.. they can not work..

You misunderstood my point. To become a citizen, you must have a "working knowledge" of English. By letting people, who haven't yet learned English, take a driving test in their native language, you are perpetuating, to those people, that you don't have to learn English to get by. Go to Mexico, or Sweden, or Germany, and tell them that you want to become a citizen, and you want to take a driving test. Then say that you want to take that test in your native language, and tell me what happens. This is America. If you don't, or won't learn English, go home.

One thing to consider tho: Our Vets didn't survive Vietnam by being Politically Correct. With all due respect as well - I'd stand back to back in a bad spot like that with my Marine friends, Weekend Warriors, ect to protect our families/hometown.. The phrase was meant for the South Vietnamese during that war. A lot of our troops were killed by so called "friendlies". The cute little Vietnamese boy who came around to scrap the mud off of our boots, then rolled a grenade into one of our hooches. The cute little Vietnamese girl, who sold us bottles of Coca Cola with ground up glass inside the bottles. It was a different time, and that's what i was referring to. Now, for you Europeans, get off your high horses. Us Americans bailed you out of two world wars. That corridor between Syria and Turkey, the one that ISIS uses to move ammunition and troops through, it should have been "carpet bombed" a long time ago. If that had been done, we would not be hearing stories about Paris. I said nothing about cops, or students. There are Muslim extremists who are being harbored by "good" Muslims, in Muslim communities throughout Europe. When "good" Muslims keep quiet, they are just as guilty. The Muslim communities, and the Muslim countries should be leading the fight against these radicals.

I get what you're saying, but the same argument can be applied to cops so it is not an unfair analogy: when "good" cops keep quiet, they are just as guilty. And they do appear to keep quiet, otherwise there would be convictions for all the killings of unarmed civilians of which we continually hear.
You are suggesting killing innocent people because of a guilty minority, and that is what sntaylor was challenging. If that should be upheld, then as sntaylor suggests, all cops should be convicted of murder, and all populations that contain violent minorities should be exterminated. There would be nobody left anywhere, as all populations contain evil minorities, yours included.

This is an interesting take on the subject by George Monbiot. He suggests that it benefits IS as a recruiting framework.
With the predictable ensuing backlash against muslims throughout Europe and the rest of the world, IS can exploit this backlash as a tool to motivate and radicalize young new recruits who feel discriminated against by the West for their ethnic/religious backgrounds.
They want a backlash. They want you to bomb them. It proves their point.

Organizations such as Occupy Wall Street, and Black Lives Matter are funded by Liberal millionaires who set-up these groups in the first place. Think about it. Thousands of "out of work" people, just happen to get together in key areas to stir up resentment of the police? These protests are COORDINATED by money. Where do you think the money comes from? on the test.. the signs and symbols are "as they are in real life"... so they will be in English. Shapes and Images are still the same too.

but it would be hard for these individuals to survive without a DL. this would cause a burden on the Gov and community.

What I also feel @grunt0300 was stating earlier (I'm only referring to a specific subject) was that in Vietnam, there WEREN'T AN INNOCENTS! [emoji49] Even nice seeming children (4 - 6yrs old) were playing nice to distract the soldiers to the real intent of actually dropping live grenades in soldier pockets and blowing ppl up, even themselves. You HAD to kill everybody in that war or face certain death. THERE WAS NO OTHER CHOICE. We ALL know that killing children in any situation or war is still a despicable act but it was either US or THEM and almost every time WE were the ones playing by rules of valor, not them.. We didn't kill children but they easily killed us cuz the enemy KNEW of our morals being a weakness. This is close to similar happenings today. The Vietnamese and the Mongolians didn't get results by being nice in battle, and we surely will lose also if ppl don't wake the Hell up.
Now I have something to say from personal knowledge of "NOW". ISIS is certainly radicalizing youth here as well: A certain friend's 15yr old son was completely buying into their propaganda against the US and it was everything I could do to keep from flipping out severely. In fact, it's why she didn't bring him over yesterday. Tonight I have an opportunity to speak with him and point out other serious fact that need brought to his attention so he has the whole story. So be careful as even our own children can turn against us.. and then we'll be dead. How Do ur morals work for you when you're dead?!
