Apologies, I often forget that. I do know that it's been known to work with more than just HTCs but is definitely CDMA only.

It's all cool. Just wanted to clarify. This app could hose an incompatible phone - at least temporarily. It did for me anyway. Once I rebooted, everything was back to normal.

Seeing as I'm a mod here I can help you -

Neither US law nor our policies prohibit you from posting links unless copyright protection is at play.

Speaking of Play...

Check out "MSL Reader"

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.esccode.msl

Folks, don't bother trying this out. It doesn't work with the F3. That app was last updated in 2010. The only other one I could find in the Play Store is from 2012. There has to be a different, maybe manual method out there that will work with the F3...?

MSL Reader is incompatible with the LG Optimus F3. The Google Play description states its only compatible with HTC CDMA phones.

Well I didn't link that one for a reason. :) But CDMA Workshop will get the work done.

Now I know I cannot post a link *cough**cough* kickass torrents *cough**cough* and search for CDMA Workshop.

You will also need QPST as well to get into LG's Modem link (can be activated either using xclusive36's CM10, or by glitching your build.prop to put the phone in modem mode. (Not tether mode).

Then CDMA Workshop can change, or just read out the current MSL off the phone.
Also try this:
  1. Download aLogCat from Playstore (or use logcat on PC)
  2. Then using alogcat filter the word "code" with no quotes
  3. Dial ##3282# (##DATA#) and click edit then cancel
  4. in alogcat you should now see something like "CODE:123456"

Just post the freaking link already. :p If I were going to come down on you, I'd have done it before you finished your *cough*.

Or search for it here, we've had it available for download many times.

I haven't seen the logcat trick work since Eclair or before.
The logcat trick varies by phone, but it worked on my LG F3 running CM10. Granted I couldn't do anything with it anyhow.

Wait you got it running cm 10 well i guess that's settled didn't work stock so i kinda gave up hope guess im switching over maby ill get better battery life out of this thing even if it doesn't work, either that or exposed framework another cool thing i found lets you edit system files like you would with smalli not 100% sure on compatibility though would definitely be a good work around though
