Interesting is ur cord good try different cord go to settings on up pc to device manger make sure it shows up

I've tried different cords, no luck. Not sure if the port is bad or what. I've tried different PCs as well. However, I haven't tried different phones. My wife has the same phone. I could try to see if I"m getting the same issues with her. It does charge though, definatley.

have you tried downloading the nougat SDK and using the updated adb and fastboot drivers? not all adb drivers are considered equal and work best when matched with the corresponding device running the binary drivers that match accordingly to that android version ie 7.0 may yield better results. the standalone adb installer on xda is outdated

yes. here are the updated fastboot and adb binaries https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
Like road kill said, check device manager to see if you are being recognized. If not, please boot into download mode to trigger this. Power off your phone, plug in the usb to the computer first then the phone and hold vol + power and release power quickly and hold vol + until your download mode screen appears. Then open the adb and fastboot zip you downloaded and press control+shift and right click. open a command window as admin and see if <adb devices> works and gets things moving for you. Let us know if you have luck ok?

I was able to get into "Recovery Mode" but not download mode. I'm also getting an error when I plug in the USB cable "Device not recognized" from the computer. I will see if I try another phone or something. Not sure what's up.

Thanks
Have you been able to access download mode before you updated? What version were you on out of the box?

also make sure after you turn your phone off, then plug in the usb hold vol + for a few seconds the press power until you feel the phone turn on then go of power and keep your finger on vol up until download mode appears

Just a question, if it's even possible to unlock the bootloader on these VM Variants of the LG Stylo 2. Last I worked real hard on it (when I first got this phone). Seemed everyone was telling me it was impossible and only the Boost mobile, T-Mobile and Metro PCS versions it was possible.
No not yet only if u were on the first realse zv3

I do think its possible and even with a vanilla build of z3 or 7.0 would allow us to use sprints framework which is what the vm, boost and sprint variations of this phone are based upon. However like you said LG is patching the holes we find because they also search xda and the others. I'll say this, i do believe it is possible we just have to get the steps right
