Outgoing Call Quality

I have been getting complaints from those I call. They can't hear me very well.
On my previous LG G3 I had no complaints.
I did several test calls to a voicemail from my G3 and G6.
The sound from the G6 voicemails was noticeably lower volume and quality.
When I cupped my hand under the microphone of the G6, then the G6 and G3 were similar.
Anyone else found issues with outgoing call quality?

Also, I tested the mic using HD Audio Recorder and the sound came back loud and clear.

Hi Elwin, Welcome to the Android Forums.

I haven't received any complaints of that nature however I did stumble across some settings you might want to check.

Click on the Handset icon to opens the Phone > swipe left and tap on Dial > tap on the 3 dots icon in the upper right corner and choose Call settings. Under Advanced tap on More. Under Sound make sure Noise suppression and Voice clarity toggles are in the On position.

I traded in an LG G4 for an LG G6 and notice the call quality is worse in the LG G6. Poor audio noticed by myself and the people I speak with. I had the LG G4 for over a year.

The default settings on this T-Mobile phone were,
- Noise suppression is ON
- Voice clarity is OFF

Due to the post from dontpanicbobby I will set Voice clarity to ON. Hopefully, that will sound better.

Thank you for the information.
