GS4 randomly rebooting

My normally reliable GS4 has now been randomly rebooting for a couple weeks now. No battery issues that I can detect, and no new apps for months. It does occasionally act like it is slightly busy with something sometimes. What I mean is that sometimes when I am texting, usually using VTT, there is often a delay between sending the text and having it appear in the dialogue area of the text conversation. Don't think I really noticed much else having delay issues but I don't really use it a lot for other than communicating and occasional checking of bank account. It seems to reboot once or twice a day but may go a day or 2 without doing so. Yes, I know it's old but given what I use it for it normally works just fine. Any thoughts or ideas I should check on it?

Well, that didn't seem to do the trick. And to add to the fun, it has now started doing the duplicate VTT trick again that brought me to this forum in the first place. And it randomly decides there is no service even tho the phone right next to it (same make, model, etc.) says everything is fine. It also pulled the no service trick while I was attempting to make a call, then decided to reboot. Nothing going on in the Task Manager.

I am trying to practice these methods on my backup S4 but have hit a snag. I wasn't interested in backing anything up on that phone so I went straight to factory reset to start with a clean phone. As part of it coming back to life it gave me the opportunity to sign in with my google account. Well, my main phone has it saved so I don't have to remember my login or password but that also means I can't remember either of them.. (I have the memory span of a gnat) Is there somewhere I can look on my main phone that I can look to be able to find that? I know that Windows has that ability but have no idea if I can do it on my phone since I haven't logged into my google account from my computer. When it gave me the opportunity to "find" my ID on the backup phone, they found it but it is starred out mostly and it just sits there with no way to select it as the correct ID or go forward from there

If you have forgotten/misplaced your password - you will have to apply the renew your password facility.
This is part of the Security that most web sites enforce - to protect you.
There are numerous Apps available to save your passwords for you (Play Store).
Have you looked in your 'main' phone Google account to see if your 'backup' phone is listed there?

No, I haven't. I don't actually know how. The only thing I use google for at all is to download an app to a phone. Not sure if I made it clear about what I am looking for. I did figure out my password but what I am looking for is something like the saved logins that windows keeps. In there you can find a list of all your logins and passwords (if you allowed windows to remember them for you) and I was wondering if such a thing exists on my phone

Guess who does/will save your Passwords-----Google!
If you go to Settings > and scroll down to Google > Tap on Google > scroll down to Smart Lock for Passwords > Tap on Smart Lock and another screen will show your current status.
As I understand it, Google does what Microsoft will do with browsers and software programs. You control it through your Google account.
You can download any of many Password savers from Play Store.
Some are provided by Anti-Virus software makers.
