Help Best phone to replace the Samsung Core Prime

First, if I were you, since it sounds like you've been with Metro awhile, check with their people on Facebook. They are Very responsive there. Send them a message there and ask if you by chance have a Promotional Price Upgade in your account.

That basically allows a current Metro customer the same deals as a new activation customer.

Metro has some Great deals on phones now if you can talk them into that Upgrade.

The closest in size to your mini phone ;), is probably the LG Aristo II, only $59 now for new activates and it's specs will annihilate your current phones. 6 months ago, Metro Gave my Mom an Aristo I that I played around with, it was a perfectly fine phone.

If I were you and wanted to stay with a Samsung, the deal there is the Galaxy J7 Prime for $149. It's a S7 Galaxy Jr for a Jr price, but it will be a good inch or so Larger than your current phone. If you wanted to dance on the dark side they have a deal for a $149 iPhonie 5S, a pretty good deal but on an aging phone. On the other hand, it's pretty close in size to your Core.

My very recent choice however, when the mics my Google Nexus 6 went TU, was the LG Stylo Plus for $149. Probably the best under $200 phone there is.
It is so good I am already drooling for a Stylo 4.

PS; If per chance, you go with the J7 Prime which I almost did too, I have the PERFECT case for it that I will make you Hella Deal on. $6 shipped to you. I accidentally ordered it for the J7 when I had a window open while researching them. Great case. My Stylo 3 Plus is in the same case for that model. Save you $2 on the Amazon price.

Good Luck,

Outstanding and useful reply.

Yes, have been with Metro since inception. Not on FaceBook, and money is not the main issue. Appearance, size, features, reliability most important.

Are induction charging wafers available for any of the phones you listed? Love the $10 wafer in my S5

I think those charge pads will work with most any android phone. The only question is does the phones back come off so you can hide the pad under it or IF you need a case to use the pad with.

The backs come off, replaceable batteries, on both the Sammy J7 Prime and Stylo 3 Plus. The Stylo also has fast charge standard. The back on the LG Aristo does not come off but it is also (unofficially) water resistant. None of the other 3 I've mentioned are. It only takes an hour, 25 minutes, for the Stylo to charge from 15% to Full.

The Stylo 3 Plus's removable back is plastic but in "Titanium" it looks like machined metal. In this clear case it looks Really Nice, like a Much More expensive phone.

Supposedly, the 800 number Metro folks can tell you about any upgrade your account has or go to a Corporate store. I would NOT rely on an Auth Dealer to go out of their way to give you any deal. Metros Facebook people are by far their most helpful with other than technical issues.

The quick and easy peasy low down.

I would only go with the Aristo II if you REALLY didn't want a larger phone. It is cool though, while it's not officially water resistant, there are YouTubes of it working just fine completely submerged in water. Neither of the other 2 phones I've mentioned can do that. The other 2 phones specs blow the Aristo away but again, it's only $59 and still has better specs than your phone you have now.

Some people are just Samsung People. If you are, get the J7 Prime. Its camera will probably make you happier than the other two phone's camera. I saw one review where a guy had both the J7 and a S8 and liked his J7 better.

The Stylo with it's stylus is just way cool. It will cost you A LOT more $ to find one in another phone. There have been Stylo 2s, 3s, 3 Plus and there is already supposed to be a Stylo 4 coming. There are Many reviews of people just going from Stylo to Stylo they like them so much. I certainly am Already looking forward to it coming out.

I am not missing the wireless charging of my Nexus 6 very much at all with the Stylos fast charge.

All 3 of those phones are really decent for their inidvidual price points at their current Deal prices at Metro.
