Help Error checking for Updates - Google Play

I'm having an issue with one of my families tablets where when they try to update on Google Play in the All Apps section the get the following error(Error checking for updates). However, updates work when they are done individually, through the app pages.

Thanks for your help in advance.

You could delete the cache and see if that helps.

Clearing data of the play store will restore the play store to it's original form, but that's not a problem cuz nothing is stored in the play store besides for some settings. So if you clear data, and then open the play store, it will ask you which Google account you want to use, after choosing one, you have everything that was there before. No apps will be deleted if you clear the data.

One thing to try if restarting your phone doesn't help, is to clear data of play store. To do that, go to settings/apps/play store/storage/clear data.
Hello, I am having the same problem. I have cleared the cache and it doesn't help. I cannot force stop the app because it will not let me since it says it is an administrator app. Any help would be appreciated!
Did you also clear data?

Hey, so... Here's the dilemma I'm having.... My device wouldn't at 1 point let me do a single Google Anything, so I used a different device to search the problem... I found the same answer you have given here... Worked like a charm. Took a while to get the PlayStore to FINALLY update and I even tried the whole got to PlayStore settings and click version and all that.... But, like a week later... I was having problems with the PlayStore again. Only this time, it was updating the apps ReAlLy SsLlOoWw... And it had a habit of downloading super show at times and other times, it was still very slow downloading but it would also download to like 96-98% and then start right back at like 2% or even over count the percentage and what up at like 156%....? So again I cleared cache and data and uninstalled updates... After, it was working again (that was about a month ago).... Then, I get on today and my PlayStore is giving the error message I honestly DO NOT want to have to go through these steps habitual Everytime my phone -or Google- has an issue. Is there any chance you know why ALL of these issues have happened and maybe what I can do past just clearing data and uninstalling updates..?? It's getting really frustrating!!
